Uh, I was going to go with my husband and a couple who are good friends of mine. I am not thinking that the spouse would be good with me leaving the children with him and running up to GB with some internets guy, even with separate rooms.

lol. Well, it was a shot in the dark, as when i broached the subject to my girlfriend, her response was, and i quote....
"No f'ing way am i going to Wisconsin in December, are you f'in nuts????"
I read your first post as to imply that you had a group of people, but one backed out? I dunno...in my head I was offering to join your group. In rereading, it sounds weird and stalkerish, but it wasn't intended that way.

They are selling packages on the Texans website. Given the logistics of Green Bay, out of the packages, that might be the easiest way to go.

Been waiting for this trip for four years. Just sorry Farve MIGHT NOT be playing. It's been my dream to visit every NFL stadium before I go on to TEXAN heaven, and Lambaugh field is right up at the top. SO much football history there, I just cannot give up the opportunity. I might freeze my old granny butt off, but, I will not pass on this chance. NOW, I've just gotta decide how to get there. I HATE flying, but, that's about the only way to go, I guess. I'll have to think about that.

The texans have the package out for the green bay game and others. In todays sports page I saw the price was for the game was $845 per person based on double occupancy. Here is a link to the flyer from the texans.

Ramada Plaza Green Bay, 5th to 8th. This is the closest I can find. I thought the Texans wanted a little too much for the package.
I'm planning to be there. The only possible conflict is the Horns in KC for the Big XII Championship Game.
I hope it's even colder than the Bears game at Soldier Field a few years ago. We had to put our beer in a "cooler" sans ice to keep it from freezing. Even then, the last 3-4 ounces would be frozen before I could finish them.

I agree get your hotel reservations in as soon as possible made ours last night. The places nearest the stadium go quick. If you are going to go you dont want to end up drivign from Appelton or Osk Kosh especially if you will be doing any tailgaiting.
As far as flights you can fly in to Green Bay. But you can get direct flights on Continental to Milwaukee from Houston for about $220 round trip depending on when you make them.
Depending on what days you plan on going, there isnt a lot to do in Green Bay but go to Bars. Take the Lambeau Field Tour. You can go to Curley'sPub in the Atrium at any time to get some food and drinks. There is the Onieda Casino which is the lobby of the Radisson. (They have shuttle busses that will take you back and forth).
If you fly into Milwaukee you can hit the Miller Brewery tour, get some free samples there. Harley Davidson is also headquartered in Milwaukee.

SheTexan and I are planning on going together. We are trying to contact the number on the texan's site, but haven't been able to connect with them. Has anyone ever used them for a trip?
If yes, how reliable are they? Because they aren't impressing me right now.
I've been on two trips with them - to NY and SF - and they were good. The bus driver got lost in NY and it took us hours to get back to the hotel - but that was the only glitch.
The party is fun and it is nice to go to the game on a bus and not have to drive. You do stay in the same hotel as the players, which is pretty cool.
We even stayed a couple of extra days in SF and they handled all of the arrangements for that.
I'd recommend them.

At least I don't go 20 in a 50 with a cell phone glued to my ear, which is what I saw today! I have to admit, a little old fashioned road rage sorta kicked in!! (shame on me!!)
