Grats...Jags Fans Checking In

I just visited their board and along with Jacksonville loosing the game it looks like they might loose their football team aswell. I dont know if I would be able to stomach that.

there are only like 1000 jags fans, so the team is constatly loosing money. If that guy is smart he will pack up and head West before NO beats him to it.

Thanx for giving us the win, but the Jags are talented and alot of people think they are one of the Wild card teams in the AFC. Cinci obviously being the other.

What's going on this year? Fighting over who's the biggest loser.
Jags gonna lay down and not give an effort now, because of moving rumors?

There is nothing exciting about our win yesterday. Nothing has changed.

If anything, I see more of a Jag redemption for what the TEXANS did to them last year.... maybe Capers will surprise us with a win this week as well....

... just gotta execute.

No I am just pissed that we threw away the game yesterday. This team has got to be the least consistent team in the NFL.

PS don't pay attention to the Jags official MB, it is by far the biggest collection of morons on the planet. Words cannot convey my loathing for it.

Wow, believe I heard that before...but it wasn't from a Jag fan. :ouch:
I understand being ticked over a loss (I have personally had a few of those moments this season myself) but to concede already? So un-Jaglike.
But good luck to ya, hope there are no injuries and I still hope we kick y'all to the curb. Nothing personal. :)

The Texans did not beat the best team in the league; furthermore, the Texans were inches from losing it. Jag fans look forward to a hard fought close game. That is what I am predicting. This year your punter will not be hurt. Sorry I had to jab that in. :)

Glad you feel that way !! Now, do you have Texan's Tickets? I just wouldn't feel right about you being sad. :texflag:
If you are beating your chest over a Texans win, go for it! But that ugly game was either team's for the taking.

Hope Mathis hangs in there for the future! He brings excitement to the team, like Dunta has.

My first post here on the Texans board. I normally don't venture out of my Jags MB(1stdown). I just wanted to start up some fun for this weekend game. Any predictions? I'll eat my crow, if the Jags lose, but I predict the Jags will cream the Texans Sunday. Texans 13, Jags 35!!! Good Luck and no injuries.

Shouldn't you be out getting petitions signed to keep the Jags from moving?

But seriously, can you fill us in on what's going on with the stadium lease and all of that?

I don't live in Duval County, so I can't sign the petition. I am not a regestered voter for Duval county. I don't see the Jags moving, a lot of political BS going around....it's always about money. I don't think Mayor Peyton(not Manning...haha) will be re-elected. The Jag fans have really come together on this and makes me proud. If you want the inside of the lease, go read the Jags MB.....you'll spend atleast 2 hours reading about it. The loss to Rams is what really bothers me....

The rams are a fairly talented team and could upset anyone in the league. You should only be worried if us the browns the lions or the vikings beat you guys!
Also remember "ANY GIVEN SUNDAY" Good luck- hope your team sticks around. If not the texans can always add another fan to our fan base. I see the game a 21-17 win for the jags. I hope we win tho! GL

Heya 1st down...er Mootini!

Welcome to our house.

I still say that cream of cat will be on the menu before cream of beef.....:texflag:
If you want to smack, go to our other house...www.texanstalk.com. They have a place for it there, not any designated spot here on the main board.
Overalls, 84 and 279 are over there too. :texflag:

Welcome to the Jag posters!

Good to see some familiar faces over here from the Jags main board.

To make a long story short, the Jaguars bought shiny new ribbon signs and installed them in the stadium. The city doesn't want to allow the team to keep the revenue from advertising on said signs for non-NFL events since they own stadium. Being the smallest market in the league (Green Bay has Milwaukee and although Orlando is close by, that city has more interest in the Dolphins and Buccaneers), the Jaguars need all the revenue they can get.

Apparently, the city made the same promises to two different parties (the Jaguars and the Gator Bowl Association). That's where the static originated. It didn't help when the city hired a consultant (NOT a native of Jacksonville) to become the lead negotiator for a global lease. The funny thing is that he was noted for having another client interested in bringing an NFL franchise to LA...The public outcry reached feverish levels last week and the consultant resigned.

Mayor Peyton and Wayne Weaver will be meeting tomorrow, hopefully to squash all this drama.

Okay...so this wasn't really that short...maybe medium?

Hopefully my Jags dont lay an egg (again) this week. That loss to the Rams sureeee did hurt bad. I think this is gonna be a great game, you guys always get up to play us.

Congrats on your first win, I know it had to be good to get that monkey off your backs.

Heres to no injuries for either team, and a funfilled hardnosed game this weekend. It should be better then what people are touting it to be.

Lets Git R Done shall we? :yahoo:

Hey Texans,
Congrats on that win against the Browns.

Looking forward to the game on Sunday.
Rams were a serious reality check for us.

You guys still own us from last year so taking that into consideration along with last weeks loss, The Jags will be ready to play some ball!

Here's to an injury free game and hope you guys start to turn things around over there soon.

MORE COWBELL!

Texans84, no brown bag over here on the Texan MB, I understand. Thanks Filo, I'm now regestered on the "smack" board. I posted a little. I'm exicted for Sunday....Cream of Beef sounds better. Good luck and I'll be there Sunday. Go Jags.

Don't pay any attention to this Cannuck yahoo. They're like the French, never go into battle without their white flag.

Greetings tinhorns, I haven't been here since training camp when you folks were predicting a great year for your team. Hasn't worked out that way but we never thought it would. Well, it's that time again and we plan to welcome you to Altell with a thorough thrashing, but then again you're used to that so it won't come as much of a surprise. Some of you have been to our board making grandiose predictions because of our loss to the rams, sorry to say that really doesn't give you much hope. I'll be back not to gloat because there's no need gloating over beating a team that is as bad as yours. I'll just come back and thank you for graciously accepting the pummelling. Until after the game. Jags 33 - tinhorns 6
