20th selection worth 850 a difference of 250
81st (Houstons 3rd) is worth 185 so they would have to kick in their 4th, 62 as well to come out = 247

depends on player available, have three in mind for Texans, Joe Haden, CB, Eric Barry, S & Earl Thomas S.

option two: Seahawks trade up with early 2nd

40th selection would have to include next years 1st plus 2nd this year I think that would be fair. Texans could address RB & CB in second, for instance lets just say Ryan Mathews, RB Fresno State (#40) & Donovan Warren, CB Michigan (#51)

I would like Haden or Berry on the Texans defense. But, they have to fill roster spots and need those draft picks.

Really? I guess he did handpick Brown. But Gibbs was known in Denver as a guy who eschewed high draft picks on his O-line. Pete Carroll isn't a NFL novice, and he probably is comfortable making his own picks and the decisions to move up or down in the draft. Don't see Gibbs as a draft day factor in any trades the Seahawks might make.

Berry is one of my favorite players in this draft.

If he is there at 14 I would trade a 2010 1st and 3rd, plus a 2011 3rd for Berry.

Berry will be the best player in this draft. A future pro-bowler. IMHO

Well, Carroll signed a 5 year, $33 million contracy with the Seahawks. I don't think he's going anywhere, anytime soon.

On February 5, 2009, the Seahawks signed Mora to a five year contract to become the team's next head coach when then head coach Mike Holmgren retired following the 2008 season. Mora was fired on January 8, 2010, after going 5-11 in his only season as the Seahawks head coach.

The need for linemen who were high draft choices hasn’t been a prerequisite to success for veteran line coach Alex Gibbs, who was hired last month by new coach Pete Carroll.

“Alex has a history of bringing along players who maybe weren’t first-round picks and just developing them,” Todd Weiner said this week from Atlanta, where he’s weighing what to do with his post-football life.

“He has a knack for developing players. He’s done a great job with some guys who exceeded their expectations.”

Weiner should know. He played for Gibbs when both were in Atlanta, and the Falcons led the NFL in rushing for three consecutive seasons. Gibbs is, as Weiner put it, “definitely the Godfather of zone blocking.”

It’s a special style of blocking that takes special traits. Gibbs looks for them in special linemen. But that doesn’t mean they need to be high draft choices.
