I'm back! muahahahaha! ok. We're sucking. We're losing. bah. Look at the great seats you get to move to!

It's hard to get motivated, I know- but let's get out there and cheer loud! Scream your lungs out. At the very least you can call in sick on Monday! WoooHoo we can win this one!

Need some Reasons to be excited?

1. Against the Lions, Dilfer completed 10 of 19 passes for 73 yards and threw three interceptions. His passer rating was just 22.4.
2. Dilfer has eight turnovers in his past three games
3. The Browns have not scored an offensive touchdown in two weeks.
4. AJ might return this week.
4. Dallas lost last week too.

And if that doesn't work, here's a pic:

I've actually really been looking forward to this game. A lot.

My reasons.

Our season has been pretty killer in both the preseason and beginning of the season. Our young team really never had a chance to get its feet under it. Lots of rookies, lots of people playing in new positions. Losing and then changing up stuff with a new line, a new coordinator--just a lot of stuff going on.

Remember the Texans early schedule, and compare it to the Colts schedule:

1 8/6 ATLANTA FALCONS 21 - 27
2 8/13 BUFFALO BILLS 10 - 17
3 8/20 CHICAGO BEARS 17 - 24
4 8/27 @ Denver Broncos 24 - 37
5 9/2 @ Cincinnati Bengals 0 - 38

2005 REGULAR SEASON
WK DATE OPPONENT
1 9/11 @ Baltimore Ravens 24 - 7
2 9/18 JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS 10 - 3
3 9/25 CLEVELAND BROWNS 13 - 6
4 10/2 @ Tennessee Titans 31 - 10
5 10/9 @ San Francisco 49ers 28 - 3
6 10/17 ST. LOUIS RAMS 45 - 28
7 10/23 @ Houston Texans 38 - 20
8 10/30 BYE -

Anyhow, week after week, people have been saying, well, we never really thought we'd win that game, I just thought we'd play better, etc.

Well, this is a game where maybe we can get our feet under us some. Getting used to the absense of some key players. Getting some of our key players back. Getting more used to some of the changes that were made. O-line playing together some more.

If our special teams plays like they did last week, even without a TD for return, I think we have a nice shot. This week in particular will be all about field position.

So, I am looking forward to this week because I think it will be a nice week to really evaluate who can play. To see what they can do now that some of the rookies have had more reps together.

And maybe I will have a reason to dance more than just because the Pep Band was nice enough to invite me:

Nice first two posts. I'm a very positive fan too, and chances are I always will be. We need more fans like you guys!

Nice posts, keep cheering us on. In all seriousness, I don't beleive this season is over quite yet for us.

Go Texans!:texflag: :texflag: :texflag: :texflag:

Nice to have a W and banish the donut. Nice to have a meaningful 4th quarter.

Read some on the message board but prefer to stay in positive land for at least today. :texans:

Hopefully we build on those things that were good (special teams, getting turnovers, reduced penalties), and work on getting the guys working together better as a team, instead of pieces and parts (dbs, oline, qb-receivers esp).

Mathis is so fun to watch. You almost expect him to break it open every time he touches the ball. (Keep Coach Joe!) That particular TD pass was something he was busting all during training camp. Hope he stays healthy and we get AJ back soon too.

The Sunday night game in November should be a most fun tailgate. Whoops, I guess it is too early to get pumped up for that.
