Here are some of the highlights from the rumormill on day two.

There are quite a few teams eager to see Colorado State quarterback Garrett Grayson. Sources from one of the top teams in the NFC that selected a franchise quarterback outside of the top 20 and is one of the best at evaluating and developing quarterbacks, told me during Grayson's final game that he was the favorite to be their third-rated quarterback behind Jameis Winston and Marcus Mariota.

Sources say that one team that is interested in getting an eye on Grayson is the Broncos. If Peyton Manning doesn't come back for the 2015 season, Denver will want a quarterback to compete with Brock Osweiler, and Grayson could be in play for the Broncos in the second or third round. Grayson has displayed a strong arm, field vision to work through progressions, experience in a pro style system, and athleticism. Numerous league contacts have said that Grayson could be this year's quarterback prospect who rises and may end up being a Jimmy Garappolo-type prospect. If that's the case, the Broncos taking Grayson in Round 2 would mirror New England drafting Garappolo.

Many quarterbacks entering the NFL are itching to get on the field as soon as possible and become the starter. Grayson is an exception, as he has told teams he is happy to learn behind an established starter. He has said that he would love to sit behind a franchise quarterback and learn for a few years similar to Aaron Rodgers and Brett Favre in Green Bay. There have been repeated rumors that New Orleans is targeting a quarterback early in the 2015 NFL Draft, so Grayson could be a fit for the Saints in learning behind their future Hall of Famer.

I'm glad this came from Charlie Campbell and not Walter. Any time that guy says something you can rest assured that the opposite is true.

As everyone knows, I'm a huge Grayson fan. Would love to have him here. And even if he's not going to end up here good news about him can only help us. The better he looks the better the odds of someone taking him high, forcing one extra good player down to us.

I'm always surprised when guys like this get "discovered" this late in the process. Makes you question whether these draftniks actually do any real scouting at all or if they just regurgitate things that all the other ones are saying. Anyone who has watched Grayson over the last couple years could tell that he has a NFL future. What that future is depends on the coaching staff that gets their hands on him.

I had a first round grade on X. I liked him a lot and still do. Very disappointed in his first year though.

Point was, don't get caught up in grades alone. Factor in both need & fit plus strength of draft class for at least a couple year span to better identify true value/impact.

I don't have a problem with X & his development. I liked what I saw, grading on a curve, when he was in the game. I'm confident if he were starting, he would have shined near the end of the season.

Dude's going to be a beast.

If there was a problem, it was identifying inside OL as a need, when it clearly wasn't. Still, this makes our OL stronger, whether XSF replaces Ben Jones or not. We've got great depth at both guard spots & center, my opinion of course.

I just wish we were as strong on the outside. If we sign Newton, I think we'll be ok, but I want to be better than ok, I want a better tackle that can grow into the LT position or slide over in a pinch, just in case.

If the plan is to cut Myers and move Jones to C with X as guard, then drafting X was smart. As painful as this year was, next year we are going to get an infusion of talent with Clowney, X and Nix plus our drafted players this season. I think we are going to see a big talent upswing by end of 2015.

I don't disagree with that at all but that really has nothing to do with what I originally said.

If Grayson isn't on our board then it can only help us if he goes early. It might not end up helping us, but it certainly can't hurt us. It still pushes an extra guy down.

Gotta point out that you had Grayson in the 1st from the beginning. Good job.

I had him in the 2nd/3rd rd range. I now see him in the late 1st early 2nd rd range. I wonder about the draftniks that had Grayson as a late rd pick.

I'm checking out Bennett on NFLN now. He's got a strong arm. What's your opinion of his game? This is the 1st time I've seen him.

If Grayson turns out to be 3rd best QB in this class, Texans pass & miss I wouldn't consider that helping matters.

Pretty much old news. I think everyone expects Peyton back now, provided he passes his physical.

I was very interested in Bennett when he transferred from Oregon. He didn't really get to throw the ball a lot there but he looked like a supreme athlete for the QB position.

I was able to easily keep tabs on him because I keep up with Sam Houston St very closely, and Southeastern Louisiana is in the same conference. He came in as a junior and had a great year last year. He had 3000 passing/1000 rushing which is pretty tough to do.

But he really regressed this year. Like, really badly. Didn't even complete 50% of his passes for the season. I got to see him live in the playoffs when SELA played SHSU and he was dreadful.

To me, he looks like a guy who mostly gets by on his natural ability very easily, but anytime he is challenged he wilts. All the decent defenses in the Southland shut him down except for McNeese, and he only had to throw 18 times in that game.

SELA was just as talented a team this year as they were last year, when they went deep into the playoffs. But QB play held them back. That's a huge red flag to me. A guy should not regress that much from his junior to senior year. I'd maybe take a flier in the 6th or 7th because of his physical ability, but in my gut I don't think he's going to make it.

I don't have the slightest clue. His first year at SELA he looked exactly like you would expect an Oregon QB to look at that level. If you can be sure that's the guy you're getting then you definitely take a shot on him.

I can see how it's easy to get sucked into a QB's pro day in terms of declarations & praise. Grayson is throwing dimes to all areas so far

One thing that's very apparent about Grayson, he's in phenomenal shape and is a very well put together athlete. #CSUProDay

Don't know the name of the receiver Grayson is throwing to but he's about 5'6" if I had to guess. Something to keep in mind #CSUProDay

Not surprised to hear that. Of all the top QBs in this draft, he looks like he was given the most responsibility by his coaches.
