I want to see some of the playcalling we got when Tyrod was playing and progress in the run game. I hope the rookie looks improved with an expanded offense as well.

On defense, i’m not expecting a whole lot… just hope Lovie’s scheme forces the Bills to have to take 8-12 plays to score instead of 3-4. A turnover or two would be nice!

Special teams, i’d like Andre Roberts to show why he was brought here as a specialist this week!

I'm hoping we can be competitive. We did a lot better in the first half of the Browns' game than I could have even imagined, so I'm hoping we can do some more of that. That means that Mills and the offense need to start opening up to take some of the pressure off the defense. I don't think this defense is going to hold up very well against the Bills.

But I'm expecting the Bills to win and to cover the spread.

This is the best team the Texans will face this season. The best defense they will play. Probably the best QB they will play. The toughest venue. That's why the point spread is so large.

Will the Bills be looking past the Texans, with a showdown against the Chiefs next week? Maybe. Will that matter today? Probably not. Take your lumps and move on to next week.

Now that’s how you start a game day thread.

Thank you

Just heard on 610 that Leslie Frazier (Bills DC) was a co-finalist with Culley for the Texans HC job. I did not know that. I knew Frazier had interviewed for the job, didn't know he was that close to getting it.

No surprises for Texans. Losing Blacklock hurts as he is a young player with some momentum in the pass rush. Bills down a starting OG should offset that.

Of particular note for Bills inactives… Starting safety Jordan Poyer and nickel Taron Johnson are both out.

Poyer in particular hurts for the Bills as he has only missed 1 game since 2017. Expect there to be opportunity for Mills to take advantage of some communication issues in their secondary with two regulars out of action today. Lets hope the rookie can make that happen!

Shockingly, my little indoor antenna picked up CBS here in Beaumont so I will be watching the game. Hopefully, the rat hoard (or is it a flock of rats?) in the shared attic doesn't move over my apartment and block reception.

I live in NE Tx near Shreveport La. The game is not being shown in my region. I missed several games last season as well. I wonder why they black out games here. I guess I will have to watch Kansas City @ Philadelphia and catch highlights of the game on NFL Network.

Of course we got stuck with Beth Mowins. She is the absolute worst talking head and its not even close. Never says anything you don't already know and never shuts her mouth.

Heard her voice and thought, “What is this the WNBA?”
