Titans seems to be a team that gets off to bad starts, then really locks down the rest of the game.

Or they get the running game going & keep the other offense on the bench.

That smallish and quick Jaguars defensive line has to hold up for 60 minutes. DeMarco Murray is breaking off some big runs playing smash mouth football.

But the Jaguars defense is playing bend-but-don't-break defense so far and resting on a 10-0 lead early in the second quarter. Making some big plays on third downs to force some punts. Nearly forced a few turnovers as well.

I just hope the Jaguars defense, especially their D-Line, doesn't tire out later in the game. I was worried about that Titans O-Line and run game having their way in this game.

Titans are having a good drive going right here. Almost in field goal range. Come on Jaguars. They need to force a turnover or hold them to a field goal I guess. 10-3 wouldn't be the end of the world.

Man, roughing the passer penalty. After Ramsey just broke up a potential Mariota Touchdown pass in the end zone with a great deflection. Titans already at the 15 yard line almost. Looks like a 10-7 game is coming.

That Jags D won't hold up all game.
The Jaguars need to score 34+ points in this game.
At least for me to feel really good about their chances.

They lead 10-7 in the 2nd. Come on Blake Bortles, we need a nice TD drive here. Make it 17-7 and keep putting the pressure on the Titans.

That's as good as it gets in Jacksonville.

Ramsey should have two picks right now, we need him to make those plays. I also think the roughing the passer was a bit ticky-tack

The Jaguars offense is playing well today at least. Already at midfield. Hopefully they strike back and make it 17-7 with a TD drive. Even a FG makes it 13-7... I'll take points of any kind on this drive. Near the Titans 40 now... Nice.

Oh no! Bortles fumbled but recovered.
A lot of yadage lost. Jeez. Almost lost a good drive.

Adda boy Jaguars!

Bortles with amazing pintpoint accuracy.
Ivory is breaking off some nice runs too.

Jaguars 1st and goal at the 2 or so.
About to be a 17-7 Jaguars lead guys!!!

Two-minute warning until halftime. Free timeout.
Jags can dial up a good play here. Bortles 8-for-8 passing this drive.

Chris Ivory baby! Touchdown Jaguars!
Just rammed in his way.

Crap, missed extra point though. WTF!!!!

16-7, Jaguars only up 9 points. That better not come back to bite them in the ass. I'll be pissed if the Titsies win by 1 point.

Or worse, the Jags start going for two-point conversions in the second half. They better not chase that point back unless they have to.

The Jaguars new head coach isn't an idiot like the Falcons head coach. So I think they'll be fine with a smart gameplan in the second half.

Still, I'm pleased with a 16-7 halftime lead.
Assuming the Jaguars D makes a stop in the final 1:55.

Blake Bortles is looking good. 15/16 throwing the ball. 16-7 as the kicker missed the extra point.

Jags D looks re-energized! Forced a Titans punt before halftime. May have time to get into field goal range if they make a big pass or two.

Ramsey is playing like a young Rod Woodson. Making big plays all over the field in pass coverage and tackling.

Bortles to Robinson! Wow!
Already 103 yards receiving for Allen Robinson.

Huge gain. 30 seconds left.
Already in FG range. Could score a TD!

All the Jags have to do is play hard for 30 more minutes. That new interim head coach is playing for a job. If he wins today he'll probably earn the job.

It sure would be nice to see the Texans clinch the AFC South with a win over the Bengals tonight. I heard A.J. Green is out with his hamstring injury. One of the best wide receivers in the game.

I hope that missed XP doesn't come back to bite them in the butt.

Titans are a better 2nd half team, and we all know Bortles crumbles in the 4th. Tempering my hopes of an upset.

You're right but Chris Ivory is breaking off some big runs like a workhorse and that field goal felt like a gift right before half. 19-7 lead to work with going into the second half. All the Jaguars need to do is keep having long drives on offense. Gives their defense a little rest. Their D is pretty good if rested and not on the field for a lot of minutes.

Marcus Mariota isn't that good when under pressure. The Jags D have rattled him quite a bit in that first half. With sacks and should have been two interceptions but Ramsey didn't haul it in. He's deflecting everything his way though.

Chris Ivory has to hold on to the fumble.
Nooo. He just fumbled it away guys.

Titans at the Jagaurs' 20 yard line already.
Hopefully the Jags D holds them to a field goal.

Officials ruled it a fumble. On the replay you can't tell if his knees were down before the ball popped out. It's close. And on close calls they just stay with the original call. So looks like Titans football in the red zone.

Damn. If the Titans score a TD and make it 19-14 that would suck. A field goal isn't the end of the world. Still a 19-10 lead. (Two scores)

Yeah! Put pressure on happy feet Marcus Mariota. He's one of the worst QBs in the league when under pressure. Titans bringing out the field goal unit. 4th down...

Ryan Succop drills it from 43 yards.
Jaguars still lead 19-10. It's okay guys.

Jags just need to have a good drive.
Chris Ivory has to hold on to the football.

The Jaguars kicker ate his Wheaties this morning!

25-10 lead for the Jaguars!
He's hit two over 54 yards.

2:59 left in the 3rd quarter.
The Jags just need to finish for 17+ minutes of football now!

Stupid penalty. Could've been 1st & Goal at the two. Jags being the Jags.

Is a 38-17 Jaguars lead safe with 5:17 left in the game? I posted earlier that they needed to score 34+ for me to feel comfortable. And I actually do feel it's a safe lead now!

Or they get the running game going & keep the other offense on the bench.

Tennessee couldn't run the ball. Couldn't stay on the field. Score got out of reach. Their passing game isn't strong enough to keep pace... with Jacksonville's elite pass defense.

Colts getting killed in the 3rd. 33-7 with 6:30 to go.

Edit: Obviously I meant in the 3rd, not in the 2nd.

Now it's time for Texans to take care of business tonight.
And if not, we can always beat the Titans at Tennessee next Sunday and go a perfect 6-0 in the division this year. We're going to clinch either way. Marcus Mariota isn't going to play next Sunday either.

That being said, the AFC South division title will be clinched here in Houston in front of the hometown fans tonight! 90 more minutes. Let's go!!!!!
