Future NFL stadiums

Thought maybe you guys would like to see pictures of future* NFL stadiums
I'll give my ratings for these stadiums from 1-10

1st the Cardinals stadium which is all ready under construction and has a retractable field!:shocked

I'll give this one an 8 because of the crazy idea to be able to take out an entire feild yet put it back in a stadium and then use the left over space for parking! It also has a retractable roof but it gets an 8 because even with all these features they forgot whats really most important and thats the amount of seats you have. If you don't have many seats you won't gain as much money as other teams but I guess for the Cardinals they'd be lucky to get 63,000 in for the entire season! :woot

Now the Cowboys new stadium which will take away our title as the coolest stadium in Texas :thumbdown but in Houston we'll know in our hearts that Reliant is the best stadium in the world! :heh:

This one gets a 10. As much as I hate to give it a 10 it really deserves it. It can fit 75,000 people, which is 5,500 more than Reliant. It has a retractable roof which is koo but from the pics I think our's is better. It also has natural grass, but the thing that sets it apart is that its part of a thing called Legends Square and Cowboys experience which are almost theme park like stuff of the cowboys! I have to hand it to the Boys they deserve a 10 for their new stadium.

Now for what maybe the new Colts stadium. I wouldn't mind our guys playing there once a year.

This stadium will also have a retractable roof but only 63,000 seats (It can expand to 70,000 for basketball games) so it gets an 8

Now the Viking's possible stadium.

It has 65,000 seating and a retractable roof so in other words it will an average stadium in the NFL so it gets an 8

Now the Jets stadium which I have the most pics for.

If the Jets get to build this stadium then New York gets not only the 2010 SuperBowl but also the 2012 Olympics! It has 75,000 seating and a retractable roof. Its in the middle of the city so I'm guessing it will be easy to get to. Its also located right next to the river so that gives a great view and it seems as if you could almost boat your way to the stadium. I give a 9.5

all these teams getting these new retractable roofs.. lets just remember Houston had the first one in NFL. Cardinals and retractable field is crazy. What is a retractable field exactly used for?
 
Well its retracable so that they can actually grow real grass and not have to take them out peice by peice like we do at Reliant.

I don't think a retractable field is crazy. Look at how beat up ours looks. I wish we had a retractable field.
 
is it just me or is the Cowboys stadium really ugly from the outside? I guess they want to keep the tradition of having ugly stadiums alive.

And it looks like the Colts stadium would have a rectractable wall.

The Jets stadium looks like a rip-off of ours.
 
swisher it seems like the 2 of us think the same. I almost didn't want to put the outside pic of the Cowboys stadium cause its ugly but I felt it neccasery. I think out of all those my fav one is the Colt's stadium.
 
The first time I saw a retractable field was for the World Cup of Soccer in South Korea. I only saw it on tv, but its to get 100% natural weather conditions. Seems like an awesome idea to me, all of those stadiums look really neat. I like the Jets and Vikings the most.

Gotta agree wit you here. Who will boo to make the kicker miss and where will the players jump into if theres no seats in the endzone? I like the way ours is better. I love how they jump into the stands everytime we score! I will always picture Faggins and that sea of Red when we destroyed Jax
 
Architecturally speaking, the proposed stadium for the NY Jets is superior in my opinion.
 
Ha speedy LOL man that Faggins play was really the best! Always just leaves you in awe that picture..

Well, if the Cowboys DO go and get the retractable roof, they should see if it can be built with a device that allows for a retractable owner.

i will never go to the girls new stadium, so i guess i will never get to see what it might look like on the inside. i can just give it two big middle fingers from the outside as i am driving by it. thatis ,if i am ever unfortunate enough to be in the sorry dallas area.

yea the jets stadium is a rip off of realiant....it almost looks exactly the same and the colts does look like a barn, the cowboys is plane ugly and the cardinals looks weird from the outside i think almost like a bubble but the viking one is my fav. that looks niiiice and it looks like it has a retractable wall or somethin but it still looks sweet.
 
it says realiant holds 69,000...didnt we had another section to hold more recently? im almost pretty sure we held like 70-72 thousand? if anyone knows post please.
 
How lucky are we to have Reliant? I mean, our stadium is so good that the only other stadium we can't make fun of is Lambou Field! O ya the Raymond James Stadium is really good too but man! Were lucky.

The largest non-Super Bowl crowd was 70,769 against the Packers last year. There were 71,525 for the Super Bowl.
