The Cardinals and new coach Dennis Green were found in violation of the League's collective bargaining agreement for practices during organized team activities which were deemed too intense.
An investigation based upon player complaints found the Cardinals and new coach Dennis Green violated the League's collective bargaining agreement for Organized Team Activities. The NFL Management Council and NFL Player's Association deemed the "intensity level and tempo of drills" violated the agreement.
As punishment, the Cardinals final week of offseason conditioning program was forfeited.
The Cardinals are the second team this offseason to be punished for practices. Tom Coughlin and the Giants were penalized two of their 14 OTA days after they broke rules concerning length of workouts and scheduling of classroom sessions.
