Friday Injury Report: Texans at Chargers

CloakNNNdagger

Hall of Fame
Noticeably unbalanced list of injuries. A couple of "surprises".........Brooks Reed with a "back"..........Montgomery with an "Achilles" (very likely a compensatory injury to his high ankle sprain)..............Wade Smith makes it on both the "limited participation" AND "full participation" category.

Looks like a mistake. According to Tania G. he participated fully today. Should be full go Monday.

Smith is being pushed too hard to get back because Ben Jones has not looked good and now Qess has gone down. I don't expect him to look any better than Jones, and if he has significant play, that knee is likely to be re-aggravated.

I'm hope you're wrong about him re-aggravating it, but something tells me that will happen at some point in the next few weeks. Figers crossed!

So we can assume Mays will be starting next to Cushing?

Who else?

Sharpton....had a thought and concussed himself
Dobbins....working on his house again probably
Tuggle....UDFA with little experience

Move Reed to ILB and let Sam "Im fat and out of shape" Montgomery start?

We are not at full health and the season is just starting, this worries me.

What team is ever at full health at any point in a season?

Going into this first game of the season, what is it that is common to all of these players?

ARIAN FOSTER
BRENNAN WILLIAMS
DEVIERE POSEY
WHITNEY MERCILUS
EDDIE PLEASANT
AJ BOUYE
WADE SMITH
BRIAN CUSHING
DUANE BROWN
SAM MONTGOMERY
BROOKS REED
JOHNATHAN JOSEPH
JJ WATT
BRICE MCCAIN
SHILOH KEO
ED REED
GARRETT GRAHAM
DERRICK NEWTON
TIM JAMISON
JOE MAYS
DARYLL SHARPTON
DEANDRE HOPKINS
TJ YATES

They are all either coming off of injury or surgery..............44% of the Texans present 53 man roster.

Sharpton is still not through the concussion protocol.

Hopkins is so far behind because of his concussion that he will not be #2 WR in this game, rather 3 or 4.

Is that speculation or did I miss an article saying this? That seriously sucks!

I thought Kubiak said he was starting. Starting means WR #2 right?

Source? This is the first I've seen on this.

Don't be messing around Doc... I have Posey on the bench right now. If Hopkins isn't gonna be #2 then Posey probably will. I need to know.

meh... who am I kidding? I have Schaub, O.D., Graham, and Posey... practically the whole Texans' passing attack (before y'all ask, they stole A.J. and Foster before my pick came up).

So obviously Kubiak will call three hundred zone running plays and a couple of draw plays (just to keep 'em honest) just to spite me.

Per the press release, Hopkins is listed as the starter, then again, so is Ed Reed: :vincepalm:

Hopkins will be the 3rd WR because Ed Reed will be the surprise #2 WR. It's all part of the Kubiak master plan. Shock and Awe.

:spy:
