You know this past game was such a nice win because our team played the way we knew they could play since the season came about. It would be nice to see the Texans play like this for many years to come.

My question is, Did the Texans finally find their game? I noticed that since the 4th quarter of the KC game our defense played more aggressively and for the most part the team has played inspired ever since then. Did we finally turn the corner where we are no longer the Mr Nice guy of the league? Did we finally come to a point where now we just straight up attack and do our best to take over the dictation of the game? I never questioned the desire for each player and the team as a whole to win but what I have seen out of the past 5 quarters is a team that now is playing with the attitude that we got a game to win. I don't know, I could say it was just one game but I honestly believe something happened in the 4th quarter of the KC game and that game period. Am I wrong? Do you have examples of your opinion? :twocents:

We won't really know the significance of the Oakland game until later in the year. It's possible that someday down the road people will look back at that win and say that this was the moment when the Texans turned a corner. I'd like to think that's what it meant but of course I don't know yet.

I think if the Texans can manage a win against the Vikings (Which is by no means a sure thing or even a likely outcome) then the win against Oakland gets bigger in hindsight. Last Sunday had the feel of an important day to me. It felt like a turning point and it felt like a statement making performance. They weren't perfect but they got their "grit" on in the second half and as Gary Walker said "set a standard".

Man, the more I think about that game and all you just said, I can't help but be convinced. I am going to the game and would love to see a win. But if they don't pull it out I would be able to cope as long as we played great and won the one against Tenn and few more back to backs. I just think we will go on a win streak here. I said last season that when we win two in a row, we will actually win more in a row.

I think Caper finally let the dogs out and told them to go after the QB more often than we did the first 2 games and up to the third quarter of the KC game. We played a little tight the first tow games because we were expected to win.

The last two games have looked to me like we have started to play with the heart and intensity that we had the first two years, but the difference now is we have added talent this season and had two years to play together and IMO it has all come together finally. Add that with the maturity the younger guys are showing this year. Also from what I have read from some teams MB's, people aren't taking us lightly anymore. I read a thread over at the Vikes MB and a few people over there have already said that the game this Sunday will not be an automatic win for the Vikes and they will have to take us seriously. I am feeling really good about our team. We have the young weapons on offense and have added to the defense in this years draft. After this year, look for the tacks and Colts to be the cellar dwellers while we rise to the top...

That's funny because I was saying that too in the preseason. Of course I was thinking that the Texans would beat San Diego and Detroit, then go into K.C. on a high and pull out a win but I predicted all summer that the Texans would win their first back to back and then add another.

Hope that happens.

Whatever positives we do this season, ONE MAN will be credited. Marcus Coleman, 3rd quarter, interception, 102 return. If KC scored on that drive, no way in hell we were comming back. All the confidence we have right now can be traced to that play.

That is very true. If he doesn't make that INT, there is a good chance we go 0-3 and that would be hard to come out of. That INT gave us a chance to be 2-2 rather than 0-3.

Anyways. The reason I would like to win the next two especially is because I am going to the game this week against the Vikes, and the next game against the Tontos is my Bday and it would be such a sweet Bday to have a win against the Titans. :headbang:

The tacks and their fans are lost right now. I hang out at their MB often and it is like doomsday there right now. Total chaos and loss of hope for their team. They are on the verge of cap hell right now, have a ton of injuries, and not much depth.

A win against the Vikings would shoot us up in the rankings. But that means that it will be a hard win. It is totally do-able, but our O must be firing on all cylinders.

Well i hate the Titans so let em suffer. It was only a matter of time before their luck ran out. I dont feel sorry for them were young they're old it happens ! So we'll be near the top of the division soon and all the other old teams will be in the re-building mode !

The only team I am worried about after this year in our division is the Jags. The tacks ship is going down, and the Colts will barely be able to pay anyone with Manning's ourageous contract. Edgerrin James and Marvin Harrison will be FA's after this year I believe. There is no way the Colts can afford to keep both of them.

i dunno i think the jags are a lil ahead of us on defense but a lot of their guys are old and contracts up soon. Texans have a lot more talented offense and i think we have some key players that will be around atleast 5 or 6 more years and will improve a lot over the next couple of years. So i think we can be a top the division but jags wont be far behind.

Ive been waiting for the turning point for along time . I think that last weekends game was it . Im just trying to not get my hopes up too high until I see what we do against the Vikes .

Nothing is being said about our kicking game. Will Stanley @41 yds avg and Kris Brown 9/10 field goals and avg 8.5 ppg be a major factor against Minnesota?
