Tough luck losing to the lowly Chargers today. I thought you guys would win for sure. I saw you guys had alot of turnovers today. Something like 5. We caused 5 turnovers today in Chi to get a long overdue road win. We had 2 picks, 2 fumbles and a blocked kick for a td. Also had 3 sacks. We also caused another fumble we didn't recover. We will be jacked-up in front of the home crowd. We were 5-3 at home last year and it gets really loud in Ford Field.

I hate so say it but you guys are staring at an 0-2 start. Our offense we off today largely due to the early loss of Rogers. However we should be OK with a week to compensate we will just have to feature Roy Williams a little more. You guys should know alot about him. He is a beast. Did you see his catch on PrimeTime?

Well anyway I wanted to find out some stuff about your team from you guys prospective. What do you guys think about your team? What are your keys? How did your rookies look? Is Carr getting any better? How does Babin look?

Well, I am sure our offense is alot better than the Bears but our secondary looks pretty suspect at this time considering how we let no name receivers and a rookie TE just take control of the game. We also haven't got a whole lot of pressure on the QB. Don't get me wrong, our defense played well though responding when they had to. Our offense just gave up the ball due to carelessness. One of Carr's INT was a deflected pass at the line that basically went all the way up to the roof at Reliant.

As for our rookies, I would give them a C+. Robinson got called on one of the newly inforced pass interference rules, got juked on stop and go route, but pretty much held his own throughout the game. Babin had the better game. He had two open field tackles on LT and one of those was for a loss. I think this kid has finally gotten the taste he needed to get the butterflies out.

Don't let the stats fool you. Yes we had 4 turnovers and we lost because of them. But in this game The Texans were the only team that went on scoring drives and when I say drives I am talking 70 yarders that were extremely balanced. If we take care of the ball better, this game is completely different.

Davis looked awesome but his fumbles shaded that. For the most part though, David did a great job of spreading the ball around.

I know it won't be easy winning in your stadium. Your secondary looked very good. It should still be a good match up.

But Hey Its All Good We Got The W. I Think The Lions Can Win Big With Robinson Going Against Rogers Or Williams. I Predict More Turnovers For The Texans And Another Loss. Yall didnt beat us "as everyone can see" We beat ourselves ok we have 4 turnovers and yall only win by 7 points thats not very good statistics. Yeah it may be a W for yall but you think that means the Sorry *** always have been lions are gonna beat us ???? Man The chargers still suck as well ! We are still the better football team ! but enjoy your rare victory SDboltz and as for you Lions fan enjoy the ONE yall had today cause yall got some PISSED texans coming down there next weekend so watch out ( FOR REAL ) . Correct me if I am wrong, but doesn't the team tat usually wins the turnover battle win most games in the NFL. That is a huge stat and variable. Look at the Colts vs. Patriots. Colts racked-up over 400 yards in O and lost becuase they turned the call over.

I really was holding off on the smack talk until later in the week, but I might have to get started a little sooner I see.

I am not really concerned about losing Rogers all that much we have capable WRs to fill in. Also our DBs are pretty deep. Bly's replacement is Goodman a 3 year pro who started the last 2 years. He even got a pick today and played really well. Fernando Bryant is our other DB and he is pretty good too. We kept 6 DBs so we are deep in the secondary.

Detroit ain't in Kansas dorothy. It's a shame you have to come sooooo far to get a good ole' Texas whomping courtesy of your own local product Roy Williams and his Detroit friends.

All you people hatin on houston, especially SDBoltz, must not have seen the game today. I came out with alot of positive thoughts out of this one.We totally dominated the Chargers defense and our defense played pretty well with the exeptions of a few of some penalties and a trip by a rookie. Bottle-O-Bud, you need to calm down, maybe your expectations for the season were a little too high, maybe you came out and expected the Texans to be the 2005 SuperBowl favorite or something, but you talk like we got totally shut down and like our D got ran over and up and down the field.

Carr spread the ball around and played well, DD ran well besides the fumbles you have to be patient and not just give up.

Oh and Kingz, I think the Lions have a pretty good squad this year and IMO had the best draft in 2004, but you will have a rook receiver going against an elite NFL CB and a rook RB going against a line that consists of Walker, Payne, and Smith. Im not saying you will lose, but I do expect you to.

Thats great and those players told the truth, but San Diego still does not have a better team that Houston does. They played better and had less mistakes, and if you seriously think that sd will dosomething this year then we will see at the ed of the season who turned out better.
 
The Chargers had no business winning that game. The go ahead TD by the Chargers was a phantom call. EVERYBODY could see Parker was out of bounds. Davis also got his first fumble back but the officials were too quick with the whistle. The Chargers looked average at best. There biggest plays were penalties on the Texans defense. Just goes to show you the best team doesn't always win. I sure hope the Lions think the same way Kingzofthejungle does. I see he is already hanging his hat on a Chicago win../laf

SEEMS TO ME THE REFEREE WAS RIGHT ON TOP OF IT TO MAKE THE CALL.
OUR BIGGEST PLAYS WERE A 36 YARD TOUCHDOWN TO CALDWELL A 24 YARD PASS TO PARKER A 32 YARD RUN BY LT AN INTERCEPTION CREATED BY DONNIE EDWARDS AN INTERCEPTION BY JERRY WILSON
A FUMBLE RECOVERY BY STEVE FOLEY. A FUMBLE RECOVERY BY TERRANCE KIEL.

That old man watchin the line blew it. It was OBVIOUS. It would have been reversed if there had been a better camera angle. The Chargers suck whats worse we handed them the game. No more fumbles!

JW, I saw the play clearly. His feet were both in, it was clearly a touchdown.
 
The only play I questioned was the 40 yard pass-interference call. Robinson has position on the ball and Parker grabbed his arm, not the other way around. Great job of framing the DB!!

Otherwise I think the game was well called. They got it right on the TD at the end. He clearly got both feet down. They also got it right on the DD fumble right after that.

NO, Ford Field won't be a piece of Cake! Lions won in Chicago yesterday, and they are feeling very confident this year.... like they haven't felt in a long time. Texans need to prep hard for that game, so they won't walk away wondering what happened again.
 
SDBoltz, do us a favor and spread your brilliance elsewhere. Yes, your team beat us fair and square.

now move along and dont hijack any more threads into a 'Chargers beat the texans' love fest.
