If you are jumping off of the Texans wagon now...
how are you going to feel if it all works out? The pick is not sexy...it's not what anyone wanted...the fans wanted Bush or Young...and now they are taking neither...
...but what if Kubiak comes in here and puts this offense on the right course? What if this defense can actually STOP other teams from scoring and allow the offense the support it needs to actually get the ball into the end zone...
All I am saying is that you don't have to like the pick...you can groan about it all you want. But if you are a fan of your team, then shrug your shoulders...ride it out, and see what happens. Don't jump off the bandwagon until it stops rolling. If this pick turns out to be a bust...then by all means...burn your Texans gear and root for the Cowboys...
BUT...if you jump off now...don't jump back on it if things work out. If this team makes the playoffs THIS YEAR...don't be a simp and get back on the bandwagon. If you make your decision to jump ship now...jump...and don't come back.
I say this as someone who was FURIOUS that the Colts traded Marshall Faulk...but they got Edge...and for a little while, we forgot about #28. (then there was that whole league MVP and Superbowl thing...and we were all mad again...LOL.)
All I am saying is this...GIVE HIM A CHANCE!!! Let this guy play, and see what he can do. Let Kubiak install his offense on these players, and see what they can accomplish. I'm a Texans fan, too. I'm just from Indy, and my first allegiance is with my home team.
Good luck this year. As long as the Colts and Texans are #1 and #2 in the AFC South...nothing much else matters. I hate the Jags, and I hate the Titans...
