I think this might get more run in the mock draft forum.
Like the first and second round picks, like the Bostic pick. I'm not sure if the Texans would think Glennon is the guy, he makes a lot of mistakes which seem to throw Kubiak into a fiery rage. As far as the FB,RB picks go, I like Zach Line a lot, but I have a hard time seeing the Texans use two draft picks for their offensive backfield. I'm not sure what your draft board looks like in the 4th round, but I'm willing to bet that there's an OT prospect that they would a RB. If they do pick an RB (Gilleslee lets say), I have a hard time seeing them pick up Line, unless they are really in love with his pass catching ability out of the backfield, or if he's capable of lining up as a TE and being effective. As far as the 5th round CB and the 6th round C at that point it wouldn't surprise me as Rick Smith loves himself some DB's, and backup O-linemen are always welcome here (especially if they can double as a G as well).
A lot of it also depends on if Greg Jones signs with you guys (which would be a great move). I also like T Jordan Mills (La Tech)
You must not be "inside the war room": http://www.texanstalk.com/forums/showthread.php?p=2144024#post2144024
Thanks for video Em. Although I don't agree with everything, there were a few good picks IMO.
DeAndre Hopkins is probably the consensus pick, for the moment. I don't see the stiffness in his hips however he is built strong @ 6-1 214 he's packing some muscle, bit hands too 10" helps him pluck the ball with ease. Would have no problem with this pick.
Johnathan Cyprien could develop into an Ed Reed clone, will be top safety in this class. Has size, speed, strength & instincts just needs to be coached up but I like the roughness in his game if it means he falls to Texans in 2nd rd. I would do it, unfortunately I think he will be long gone.
Mike Glennon is sort of a Matt Schaub II. I like your idea of taking a QB in the 3rd however. Texans need a stronger arm but also a firey competitor who teammates will follow along with athletic ability to escape the pocket & make something out of nothing to keep drives alive. Big fan of Tyler Wilson, Arkansas.
Jon Bostic is bombastic. If you feel Wade could reel him in, that this clubhouse could have a stablizing effect, enough to allow him to play smart football & not cost his team stupid penalties then he certainly has god given ability to impact ILB position which is a big need.
I think all the RB's are under rated. Also believe Texans will draft one. Sure Foster is locked up but Tate is entering the last year of his contract while building injury record, Forssett is gone so it makes a lot of sense. Gillislee looks like a ZBS downhill style runner who can catch out of the backfield.
Will Davis another solid pick, good size 6-1 214 wonder if he could develop into a free safety? Good core strength.
Zach Line is off the books now with signing of Greg Jones.
Don't know much about this Mario. Doubt they draft another Center with Jones backing up Myers chomping at the bit.
Tourek Williams, sounds perfect developmental pick. Why did you wait so long to address pass rush? Losing Connor Barwin was the Texans marque free agent, they need a strong side DE with ability to set the edge & funnel the RB inside to contain. Texans don't have that anymore & I have a hunch Wade will be looking early for a replacement. So I would think 1st rd. will be a DE/OLB. 2nd rd. WR. 3rd rd. more line help both OL/OT & DT. 4th LB. 5th CB/S. 6th developmental player & RB. 7th another developmental player where depth dictates.
Always enjoy your work Em

Thanks BL! Great assessment btw!
I'm a big fan of Wilson as well (I have him rated as my #2 QB in this class) He has that Brett Favre-like ability (Both the good and the bad).
As for Tourek Williams, he's very impressive...they've had a very good defense for the last 3 years. I waited a bit on the edge rusher because I tend to give a Defensive Coordinator the benefit of the doubt with being able to get the most out of guys on the squad (especially if its just to rush the passer) unless its a huge weakness.
