Football Gameplan's 2014 NFL Mock Draft Video - January (2 Rounds)

He has the Lions taking a center at 10 and he has Bortles going to the Jags in the second at 39. smh

Sent from the future...

I like the draft for the Texans. I would be absolutely ecstatic if Houston picked Bridgewater. Nix at 345 lbs would fit nice in Romeo Crennel's 3-4 system (rumored DC). That's a nice first two rounds for the Texans.

One question though: You have Arizona taking Derek Carr in the first round over Blake Bortles. Do you like Carr over Bortles or do you think Carr just fits better with Arizona?

Thanks JC! Yep..I like Carr of Bortles; plus I think he's a much better fit for Arians offense. IMHO, Bortles is 2nd/3rd Round talent that, along w/ other QBs, will get catapulted in the 1st Round.

If you feel that way then why would you mock him to the Jags in the second when he's probably going to be the second or third QB drafted in real life? Aren't mock drafts supposed to reflect what you think is going to happen?

I've always had Ryan Shazier a first round grade. I would relish if he was available pick #33. makes a lot of sense since Mike Vrabel, who was coaching him @ Ohio State, now will be the Texans LB coach. I'm thinking relentless player, blitz packages, speed off the edge & physical nature to fight through his blocks. Nix is a good selection however.

Really good work as usual Em :wesmantexanfan:

My mocks never reflect on what I think will happen (to me, that's a wasted exercise because you really don't know) and more on what I would do if I were selecting for the squad.

Thanks Beerlover! There's a small college LB that I think you'd love Carlos Fields - Winston Salem St. I think he has some highlights on YouTube..but the dude is VERY underrated

Agreed on the 1st part.

I will check Fields out.

Thanks for all of the work that you do.
