again, i'm not seriously calling for his head so dont take the title seriously but lets critique the defensive play calling. for me that meant, where was the pass rush? our front 3 with deloach didnt get it done and that's not a good sign since they were starting 2 rookies on the offensivle line. babin got into the backfield a couple times but didnt get much pressure on brees. wong did once but was 1/2 a step from being rendered ineffective by the guard. i never saw a sharper blitz, and i didnt see them "bring the house". i saw both olb's on the line but our rush ended there.
also, what is brown doing on a tightend continually after getting beat? yes you have to gameplan for LT but he isnt the only player on the field. if the rest of the team were 50 year old couch potatoes they wouldnt be on the field, and need to be respected. a linebacker needs to get on the tightend at the LOS and disrupt the route from the get-go. then let foreman get in his butt and keep things under control.
i dont know how our zone works so i'll keep my fool mouth shut. we've just simply havent been aggressive enough IMO on both sides of the ball and in week one it let the opposing team play their game.
