Even in the games that we've won . . .

. . . does anyone remember a game . . a single game . . . where our quarterback has had more time to throw than the opposing quarterback?

I honestly can't think of one. Really! The only game that comes close, in my mind, was the very first game against Dallas.

I don't think our QB's have ever had much time to throw. Detroit was still getting pressure on Carr while they were basically playing prevent defense. I think that's why we see so many dump-offs to Davis, is because Carr knows he does not have the time to stand in the pocket and look downfield.

I guess the easiest way to explain why we don't have time to throw and the other team does is we are still unsettled in both the offensive and definsive lines. We are essentially still a very young team. It will take time to work out all the kinks. I still don't think the season is down the drain. At some point (soon I hope), they will put it toghether and we will win our share of these games. Also we are going into a 4 game schedule with teams that could possibly be very tough. We may get better on both lines and still come up on the losing side. KC - away game, Oakland - home game (our best hope), Minnesota - home game ( this game could be where we are going to show if we are really competitive, or still striving.), Tennessee - away game (if we are into our game we will win this one.) Summary: we could be 3-3, or we could be 0-6. It depends on how fast the O & D lines get it together.

Last year at Miami. Carr had plenty of time to throw and the our defense wasnt dropping 8 men into coverage so we got a good amount of pressure... idonno:

if anyone wants to see a comparison to how our offensive line performs every game, should have watched how minnesota o line played last night against the eagles, that would be a very good description. just wish dave could drop back and have time to look downfield like peyton, like donovin and favre like tom brady, then he will continue to post numbers like them and maybe even better.

Yeah, do you remember John Madden making this comment?

Daunte Culpepper has no choice but to dump it off to his backs because he doesn't have time to look downfield.

Sound familiar?
