ESPN: NFL's Top Young Trios

Here is a look at five young Big Three units that have the potential to become the next dynamic mix in the NFL:

Houston Texans
They are similar to Cincinnati's trio in that they have two of the three pieces in place. Running back Domanick Davis is one of the most underrated players in the NFL at his position. Wide receiver Andre Johnson, while still young, is a player who will play in many more Pro Bowls.

The key here is quarterback David Carr. While he is a smart player with a solid arm, he needs to develop a little more flair. He seems to play too tight, like they have him on a short leash. Too often, he plays like he is afraid to make a mistake, which lends itself to making more mistakes in the long run. This is Carr's team and the quicker he realizes this and stops looking over his shoulder, the sooner they can unleash the potential in this offensive system.

yes, they are saying, of the trio of Texans, the one that needs to step up is David Carr. I will give him the benefit of the doubt and say he does so this season. DD is one of the NFL's most underrated RB's and we already know the AJ is an exceptionally gifted WR. When Carr gets things going this season we should be one of the powerhouse offensive scoring machine's that everyone eagerly anticipates.

His analogy of being on a short leash makes you question who is holding the other end, Caper's perhaps? Or Carr?

I thought it was interesting how they said two of the three. Is it Davis or Carr that they doubt?

They doubt Carr. They called DD one of the most underrated players in the league at his position. I agree, hes much better thatn most think that he is.

**This is Carr's team and the quicker he realizes this and stops looking over his shoulder, the sooner they can unleash the potential in this offensive system...**

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: David can't do his job while he's running for his life or flat on his back.

There's a reason he's looking over his shoulder...the LEFT SIDE OF THE O-LINE!

Until this problem is addressed, we'll ALL be watching the playoffs on TV...

I was thinking this should be written more like "until I KNOW this addressed"... because they have addressed it by bringing in Riley as a LT backup. The premise that Wand or Pitts will play better this year due to the "jellin" factor is another debate, but your point is understood.

Did they address it as a final solution??? I don't know, but not a whole lot is going to change now that the draft is over. Besides the coaches and owners are focusing on the personnel they have right now in camp...so am I. I am going to the games... hopefully I will need some cash for playoff tickets. :)

Hey, what do I know? I'm a blonde female who's OBSESSED with football! ;-)

I don't think they've addressed the problems. You have a new backup...BFD. Mr. Offsides needs to quit jumpin at every little twitch the defense makes. How about some BLOCKING??

NO, I can't do it...but that's not what I am PAID to do. I pay damn good money for my season tickets...money I work hard for. I expect THEM to work hard for MY money.

I would love nothing more than to have to dip into my *football fund* for season tickets. But it's not going to happen this year if they don't get it together...
