Good combo of size and speed. He weighs 250. If Capers wants a big work horse this guy could be it. Any thoughts on T.A. McClendon and Harris from WVU? They're big work horse type backs, too. I'm alright w/ DD, he showed me something the 2nd half, however durability is an issue. If we wanted one of these guys I would hope we wouldn't spend a 2 on them because we have more pressing needs the first 2 rounds, but if Capers wants a power runner we'd probably have to use a 2 to get one. I haven't heard where these guys are supposed to go in the draft though. Thoughts?

Domanick looks like an All-Pro when he is healthy doesn't he...but it's keeping him healthy that is the issue. We all know the odds of him playing 16 full regular season games are slim but I don't think we draft a rookie to bring in and help carry the load for Domanick Davis. Wells does really well when he is in the game and he is a probably bigger than the guys mentioned. If the Texans do what they need to do and build that offensive line than even a mediocre back can put up good numbers. Look at Blaylock in Kansass City or any of the Denver backs. :coolb:

I think that Shelton in the second round is a good possibility. Looking at the second round talent.. the only guy that sticks out at me is Ruud and Shazor.. and not sure that we need either of those guys. Shelton could end up being the workhorse back we really need. If DD and the Zone Blocking doesnt work out.

Personally I like Wells, he runs hard and does fine when he's in. DD has shown he can be elusive and behind an average line he'd do really well, but we just don't know if he'll be healthy, he's short but he weighs 223 so he's not little, but not that durable either. Like you said some body to carry the load w/ DD would be nice. It'd be alot like a Duckett/Dunn type thing that worked ok for the Falcons I'd hope ours would be better than that, I always worry about backs splitting time because they can't get rythm, but w/ DD I think he could thrive w/ less carries. My other concern is that Capers would think run, run, run, run, if he had 2 guys and forget about Carr/AJ and the good receiving unit we have. I would like to see another good back in our attack. I'd also like to see a good TE, a good o-lineman, pass rusher, mlb I believe we have 5 picks rounds 1-4 so I hope we address those needs and add a top talent o-lineman through FA, along w/ a pass rusher.
