Early Season Top 10 - Offense

These are my early season position rankings for the 2015 NFL Draft. Noting that it's 3 weeks into the season, these rankings are obviously subject to change in the future. However, I thought it would be nice to get a sort of watch list out on this site for the members interested in the draft. Also note, there are a lot of underclassmen on these lists and many of them won't be entering this year.

*For both the offense and defense I will tailor my rankings toward the offense/defense that we run. I split TE into 2 separate groups and added a Slot WR group.

This is very awesome. MSR

This QB class keeps looking weaker and weaker.

Sharp drop off right after Petty. I would put Jameis below but that's just because I think his idiocy will cause him to bust out of the NFL. They might be able to suppress his antics in college but in the NFL if he gets put under a microscope the implosion will be spectacular.

I think he's physically more talented than Petty which is the reason I have him higher. Wouldn't even consider drafting him at this point though.

Mariota is the only QB I would use a top pick on. I'd use a mid 1st on Cook. None of the rest are first rounders to me.

LOL c'mon now ... Cook over Winston?

I get the whole 'he's a dumb kid' argument, but you cant turn a blind eye to the sheer talent level. I'd actually slot Cook behind Hundley, just not a big enough body of work to win me over.

That my friends is why scouting is addicting, it's open to individual interpretation. :TexanBillAtNight::toast2:

Good eye, not much to quibble with. Hundley, Hogan and Driskell are out in my list, Cardin is a top 5 and Sammie Coates and Malcom Mitchell make my WR list.

I'm definitely down on Hundley and Hogan and Driskell probably shouldn't be on my list, but I love his physical tools. I personally think Coates is overrated, but I'm in the minority there. I like Mitchell, but don't see him as a top 10 talent.

Good stuff.

*I had Tevin Coleman marked down as a sophomore for some reason so here are my updated RB rankings. He basically replaces Marshall, who injured his leg again yesterday and is extremely unlikely to enter the draft at this point.

RB
1. Todd Gurley (6-1, 232) - JR, Georgia
2. Mike Davis (5-9, 215) - JR, South Carolina
3. Melvin Gordon (6-1, 207) - JR, Wisconsin

9. Ameer Abdullah (5-9, 195) - SR, Nebraska
10. D.J. Foster (5-11, 195) - JR, Arizona State

Safe to say Jeff Driskel won't be on my QB list when I update it next. He has great physical tools and had some solid games to start the season. It looked like he might have finally turned the corner, but his games against Alabama and Tennessee have been downright pitiful. He's fallen back into all of his old habits and looks as bad as ever.

Driskell cost the Gators a Nat'l Championship...he's not a very good. Neither is Hundley or Hogan. Hogan cost Stanford a win today in ND.

The best QB I have seen this year as an answer to the Texans QB problems is Shane Cardin East Carolina.

Both of Stanford's losses this year are squarely on Hogan's shoulders. Dude just isn't any good.

I like Mariota and Cook. I have my eye on Grayson and Carden. Wouldn't draft Winston, Hundley, or Hogan. Not sure I would draft Petty either but he's definitely above those three for me.
