Early Picks For The Heisman Trophy This Year ?

I know it's a little early, but was wondering who you all like for the Heisman this year? I would like to be able to look back on this around trophy time, to see how we all played out..........:poker:

Ohio State quaterback.

Smith or AP. Maybe Quinn, but he did not look so great in his first game. Earlier I would have said Slaton has a chnce, but last week he only had 8 rushes.

I'm still going to have to pick Brady Quinn. He hasn't shown anything for me to think he does not deserve it. Even when being pressured he makes the right decisions

Troy Smith, because he's playing the best. He's outperforming all other QBs right now, and he didn't miss a step hardly against the Texas defense IN Austin.

Peterson may be the most talented RB out there, but he's not getting numbers like it. There are other RBs out there, and while it's not Peterson's fault that every team stacks the box against him, I also don't think Oklahoma is going to run the table.

They don't give Heisman trophies to teams that aren't in the top ten. It's not for the best player. It's for the best player on the best team. That might not be fair, but that's the way the system works.

Too early to tell right now, but I have 3 that I am watching closely/

Brady Quinn
Adriann Peterson
Alex Smith

I see the Raiders going for the first pick overall and taking Brady Quinn
I see the Packers going for the 2nd pick overall and taking Adriann Peterson
Then the Titans, but no clue yet who they will take... OL I think...

I'm going way out on a limb here, but depending on what happens at Tennessee saturday, I'm saying Chris Leak. In the spread offense, he's just padding stats, their also my sleeper for National Champions.

No bias since you live there.

Chris Leak is the Quarterback for the University of Florida. We lost our starting Senior DT Justin Harrell, and JR CB Inquorius Johnson to season ending injuries and Johnson may be done for his career. We have a young young defense. Urban Meyer is going to make us look like a middle school JV squad.

I would rather be proven wrong and made fun of because I didn't believe in us, rather than talk ******* and be disappointed.

The Cal game was a fluke. The Air Force game is the real Tennessee. The gators will win by 10+

Is there another Alex Smith besides the two NFL players that I don't know about? Or did you mean Troy Smith?

I was incorrect about one thing, Justin Harrell did tear his tricep, but is putting off surgery for one week so he can play his final collegiate game against the university of florida

Troy Smith and Adrian Peterson are my top candidates right now. Peterson is mashing big time against Oregon right now, and I'm normally anti-Okie, but Adrian Peterson is the man.

I am hoping Peterson basically had a moment of time where he made a mistake and picked oklahoma..how can a Texas boy go to Oklahoma? (don't take this seriously, it is kind of a joke)..

I know the Texans won't have a shot at him next season, but here is to bring the Texas boy home :redtowel:

34 carries 214 yards today.

He had a great game today. OU got hosed by the refs twice, but Peterson is the best back in college football right now. I'm sure Koobz' inner devil is hoping for a crappy season .... lol.

Because there supporters pay really well, just don't let anyone catch you.

Hopefully the Brady Quinn hype machine will calm down now. Yes, I am extremely pleased anytime the at-large ND hype machine gets knocked down a peg or two.
