Yes, this is way, wayyyyy early!

I've already got flight, room and ticket booked. (and three vacation days towards the adventure)

Is anyone else going, or can suggest a tailgate to attend? :texflag:

Been thinking about this one for 4 yrs Dan. THEN, the sch came out and I found out it's on a Thursday night. Traffic in Philly is hell on a Sunday, can't imagine what it would be like on a Thurs. Eagle fans are not always that friendly either, not that that would stop me. Been chatting with jgl35 some, and just not sure I want to chance going. BUT, in case I change my mind, where are you staying? Where are your tickets located?

I'll be at the Sheraton Society Hill Link, got a ticket Row 1, Sec 113. I'm making a mini-vacation out of this, as I've always wanted to see "Historic Philadelphia".

We have a few people who are coming in from New York City for this game. We will have to communicate closer to the game and meet up.

We are probably taking the SEPTA once we are in Philly from the 30th Street Station.

my email address is nandagiri at hotmail dot com

I live 45 min from the stadium and will not be attending.
Word of warning-I would not suggest trying to tailgate unless you have a friend who is an Eagles fan going with you. The fans here will be in your face from the moment you walk past-unless you are planning on attending without showing your Texan Colors.
I attended the Eagles-Saints game last year and they were very rude, vulgar and had a habit of throwing stuff toward the backs of Saints fans.

Philadelphia is a great place to visit and see some great history. If you're interested you can still mail a letter from the first post office in the US.

PM me if you want any other info about the area.

Hope you survive the game and get to enjoy it.

I may be in....if the money fairy comes through... and if I can get a good enough seat.

That's my issue with the Colts game. Affordable seats available are in the friggin rafters. I was gonna make a roadie out of that one, but, guess I'll be watching from home.

I'm still leary about the Eagles game. I've wanted to go to this one for 4 yrs, but, my gut feeling tells me to pass. I'm a little to old to deal with fans that might send me tumbling down some stairs, or something worst. Not a trip to be made alone.

I think the wife and I are in for the road trip as well since I've missed so many home games this year. Where are those that are going sitting so I'll know where to look for tix?

T-Minus 13 days and counting...not quite as geared up to see the game as I once was, but I'll have fun nonetheless.

I can hope tha Vick pulls a groin can't I? :hurrah:

Dan,

Please don't let me see you on YouTube beating the crap out of Philly fan!! I'm sure he was an asshat, talking s**t, but just walk away man! Walk away.

Shout out to Blue Crewers and Bull Penners. I am starting a collection for Dan's bail money.

I'll try, but if I get pelted with anything, all bets are off!... I'll be right where the Visitor tunnel is at.

So - Blue #80 Jersey or Red #90 Jersey? May have to look into some face paint for this one too!

You should be alright. I lived in the Philly area and went to several Eagles games wearing Oilers gear. The Philly fans don't have issues with Houston. However if you want to be safe, do what I used to do. Get a plain white shirt and have the words "Dallas Sucks" printed on the front. Wear it under your jersey. If anyone starts giving you flak just lift up your jersey. The fans there will high five you. Actually that stunt earned me several free beers one game.

lol I think that eagles fans are getting way, way too much credit here.

As long as you dont act like a fool, nothing is going to happen other than taunting.

Call this number and they can tell you where they are going. I have a friend named Stephanie, she is a die hard eagles fan and has invited my friends to tailgate better yet I will PM yall Call her and she will tell you how to get to her tailgate and they are the nicest Philly fans in Philly, Mention me and do not act a fool and you will be fine.

I'm an Eagles fan and I can tell you that we don't have a problem with Houston at all. In fact, Eddie George is from a suburb of Philadelphia so we have always been cool with you guys.

If this was an early game, I would give the green light to you guys but since this is a primetime game, they're likely will be alot of drunk fans there, who have been drinking since morning in the parking lot.

However, just do me a favor. No matter what happens, please don't stereotype all of us like Colts fans did.

Unlike their forums though, I can see you guys have a lot of intelligent and classy fans here.

Sadly, Bill chickened out. Something about not having his life insurance policy up to date. I really don't see the problem, my husband is out of town until late Friday. I am sure he wouldn't mind.

Bill is a puh-cee when it comes to a bit of cool weather. Anything else is just an excuse.

Again, I'd like to reiterate this once more. If something happens, please don't judge all of us as a fanbase as we're not all like that :)

Hey man we road trip alot and can hold our own, I find Oakland a great place to go and feel that Philly would be the same. We Texans hate the Cowboys as much as you do.

I lived in Delaware for years and attended many Eagles games (even in the 700 level of the old Vet). If they mess with you just smile and say Dallas sucks. With that you will never have a problem there as it always worked for me.

Say hi to Angelo Cataldi for me, I really loved that guy ..lol.

In recent years, Raiders fans haven't been nearly as rowdy as before due to their recent downfall.

I'm not going to the game, but I really hope Eagles fans don't act like idiots at the stadium. The last thing we need is for another fanbase to get a terrible impression of us.

I'm worried, especially with this being a primetime game. I hope Cavs fans throw beer bottles or something at Lebron tonight. Something to take the spotlight off of Eagles fans lol.

I tried that in DC actually, and got cussed at. I was surprised, since they had just played Dallas.

That won't happen in Philly. You start hatin' on Dallas especially being from Texas and they will bond with you. Of course I lived in the northeast for years and knew how to act amongst them.

Walked around town today with my Texans coat on and didn't have an issue. In fact, most were fond comments regarding Andre's pugilistic skills last Sunday.

I gear up & head out in an 90 minutes..ought to be fun. :texflag:

That is sheer genius. Where did you come up with a scam like that?

Dont forget your Dallas Sucks! undershirt! REPRESENT!

Personally, this is pretty creepy for me lol. This is the 2nd time, this has happened to me. In our 1st game vs GB, I was talking to a fan on the Packers forum that was going to Philly and supporting his team and he never posted back either.

I'm starting to think our fans, chop opposing fans up and serve them as Cheesesteaks or something.

Right!! We haven't heard from Dan, yet! Man, I hope his policy is tightened up. :mariopalm:

I'm alive and well, thank you. I had 5K fans chanting "donkey-hole" at me, but otherwise all was well. Thanks to Joe I had some PFUFA folks keeping an eye on me and several security folks making sure I wasn't beaten & tortured.

lol sounds "fun"?

Did you have a good time?
Was the game exciting?
Where any of the fans fun to be around?

Dammed filter... Chanting what exactly?

I went to the game! I did an entry on it here, complete with video and photos. Front row seats behind the Texans' bench!

Thats what I like to hear. Tbh, we might have the worse security in the league. I would have tossed the Deion heckler out in 2 minutes if I was a bodyguard at the game.

It just goes to show you, how far we've come since the days of our old stadium. Primetime game, against a team for Texas and you make it out unscathed.

15 years ago, who knows lol but I'm glad you had fun. Did you stop for a cheesesteak while there?
