now has Jay Cutler rated as the #1 QB entering the draft and they have Vince Young at the #3 QB spot...I didn't see any other major changes on their board...

They change like that a lot. It is the same with Kiper. It is done to draw people to look at what they write. It will probably change 15 time between now, the combine, pro day workouts, and the draft.

I know they change a lot, but draftdaddy.com doesn't really write anything, they just make their list of top 10 prospects at each position.

This is beyond me... How do you put Cutler above Lienart???

I mean, you watch the guy practice for 3 days, and BAM! Hes better than a 3 year superstar Lienart.

You take Cutler, and Ill take Matt or Vince.

I don't know if anyone watched the Senior Bowl practices that we shown on espn or the game itself but i was not all that impressed with him. First of all he had a horrid game and secondly in the practices when they were just running routs with no defenders he was still not putting the ball in the optimal spot. Every pass was either behind them or too far in front. That won't cut it in the nfl when a matter of inches determines whether or not its an int or a reception.

I heard one of the scouts on NFL Network say a lot of the QB's were off on their throws and thought it was because of the QB's and WR's not being familiar with each other.

The only reasons Cutler is above VY & Leinart is to get your attention (as others stated) and b/c he's played more recently. Draft experts were able to give him a more definite grade after seeing him play in the Sr. Bowl.

Once VY & Leinart attend the combine, they'll be graded higher than Cutler.

Also, I found this piece that was written before the 2005 season...LINK

Cutler enters his final season with the Commodores as the Southeastern Conference’s most experienced quarterback and one of its most talented offensive players. With 34 career starts under his belt, Cutler possesses all the skills - strong arm, rushing threat, elusiveness in the pocket, toughness and leadership qualities - required to be one of the nation’s elite signal callers in 2005. Cutler enters season within reach of numerous Vanderbilt career passing and total offense records. During each of first three seasons, he has improved in the critical passing efficiency category. In 2004, he became just the third Commodore quarterback in 50 years to complete 60 percent of his attempts and threw just five interceptions. A three-time captain, Cutler must continue his excellent leadership in an offensive huddle missing five solid starters from a year ago. Possessing a superb dual threat, Cutler appears ideally suited to Vanderbilt’s multi-set offense.

Found this also...LINK

Cutler has the tools to play at the next level. His college production and track record are more difficult to evaluate than that of other top QB prospects because he did not have a great supporting cast. His physical skills however, speak for themselves. He has great size and is a strong player. He has a good muscle base and an tall frame.

Did you check out his mock ? He has Leinert and Young off the Board before
Cutler and yet he rates Cutler ahead of the other 2. Totally illogical. Next
time, try posting something about a website for the Draft that makes some sense.

Did you see the date on the mock that was posted? It was updated 5 days before the prospect list was updated. Try looking into things a little deeper before criticizing what someone posts. And by the way, even if they have Cutler ranked as the #1 QB on THEIR board, does that mean that IT HAS to be the way the draft goes down? You know they can have their opinion on how the draft should be and then have their opinion on the draft will be.

I may have been too direct with my remark 279, if so I apologize. Nevertheless, I think a big-time, well managed Draft website should have its position rankings and mock in sync (to include updates, revisions by date) . If they don't it can cause confusion. To make my point, you suggest someone might have his position ratings in a different order than the way he thinks the picks will actually go on Draft Day. Maybe he really feels that way, though I find it hard to believe the second and third rated QB would be among the top
three picks, while the top rated QB almost slips out of the top ten. But because the website dosen't have it's act together (IMO), you and I and others are left to speculate what this guy has in mind.

Ranking a guy higher than someone else and thinking they will go higher are two entirely different things.

Cutler also had very impressive numbers on a bad team in the toughest conference in the NCAA.
From what I saw of Cutler in the Senior Bowl and heard the analysts say about him, I'd rate him along with Leinert as the 2 best QBs in this
Draft. For that reason, if 2 QBs go among the top 3 picks I've got Cutler
going 2 or 3 way before he falls to # 10.

vince is not the undisputed God of football?? call security, i think 1/3 of houston is armed and heading for the clock tower in austin

cutler was off in the senior bowl and the practices because his feetwork and mechanics still need a lot of work. he got better as the week progressed though, showing me he can learn a lot in a short amount of time. he's not a guy who will start right away like leinart. he and young are in the same boat: big projects with tons of upside; boom or bust pick
