Draft!

After listening reading and watching I say it all depends. The 49ers change their minds every 24 hours as to who they are taking with the #1 overall pick. We would have to have someone see the draft board to really get an idea.

I think we did the Pace deal to cause Speculation about our needs and that we would take Barron in the draft, That means teams wanting Barron will trade with us either up or down, whoever it may be.

The Bucs are really in love with Cadillac Williams, they have watched him intensely, and have a 3 day workout session coming up.

Other than that havent heard anything else except 48 hours ago the 49ers said rodgers, 24 hrs ago they said Smith, now it looks like Rodgers again. :shocked
 
Actually I think the only way we can hose this draft is if we trade our picks and draft a Punter early in the first round
 
Reportedly, the 49ers are in contract negotiations with Rodgers, Smith, and Edwards and may select the one who ends up costing the least, sounds like money ball to me...To answer the original question posed in this thread, yes, we will probably get a playmaker or two...
 
Maybe we should pay our texan cheerleaders more and have them take their tops off and shake them at the opposing team. We wouldnt need to draft playmakers then we could have 7 year olds running our offense and I bet we could still go undefeated. I know I would forget all about statistics with that vision of beauty in my head. :evilb:

If thats the case, I'd see it being Smith. He seems like a smart, modest kid and I dont think he's with Rosenhaus!

That struck me interesting... I could see Casserly doing a smoke 'n mirror thing with Pace (as a sidebar) to achieve that thought process among other teams.
 
If we trade up it needs to be for either D.J. or Ronnie Brown. Maybe Mike Williams but those are the only guys that are worth trading up for imho.

Only problem oncluding the trades i think will happen. DJ wont get past 6 who i think N.O. will trade up and get him. Ronnie Brown will go #2 to Miami. Mike Williams will go #3 to Minnesota who will give up both 1st to make sure they get there man.
 
I dont know what it is with me...but DJ is slowly dropping. Lately I havent been so big on him going #3/4, I see him dropping til at least 6. I think its the emergence of Merriman and Ware putting out good workout numbers and projecting at OLB and having similar if not better size than DJ.
