Draft Spreadsheet

Similar to last year, I put together a spreadsheet of about 900 players, combining rankings from four sites (all publicly available over the web). You can download it HERE. Not all the rankings are the most up to date (some of them change daily), but they are pretty close (I list the dates I got the data at the top). I can't guarantee complete consistency, but I think it is pretty good.

I found it really helpful to help me keep up with the draft. During the draft, I'll add an extra column that I fill in with the position actually taken, and sort on that occasionally to get the list of "best" remaining players. You should be able to sort by position or the other fields as you'd like.

One other note - there was someone else on this site who I had discussed about combining spreadsheets. I didn't get this done until today, so it's a bit late to combine, but if you know how to combine it with your info and want to post an improved version, please do!

It's a bit late. I'll see if I can merge it with mine. My data is kinda old now and I only have 288 players on it. So yours is much more complete.

Thanks Keyser. Rep your way!

I guess you are the last person I repped so I have to spread it around.

Here are the tweaks that I made to the spreadsheet.

1. I added a column in the A column for Place Taken.
2. I removed the grouping of the header.
3. I removed the first two rows so that the column headers were at the top.
4. I selected A2 and then chose Data Filter.

Now, during the draft, I can find the guy selected, set the place taken, and then if I sort by Average Rank, then sort by Place Taken, I automatically get a best available list after the last person taken. I can also sort by Place Taken blank and just see the undrafted guys. I can select only players at a certain position, etc.

Thank you so much! I will be able to look like EVEN more of a draft geek at my draft party with this!

Rep your way!

Wow. You've even got that Mitchell guy that Al Davis drafted in the second round. The NFLN guys didn't have a data sheet on him.

Darth Vader voice >> Impressive. Most Impressive.
