Discount jerseys

Mr. White

Retired OLine Coach
Threads have been popping up with cut-rate jerseys for years now.

I keep getting conflicting info on these.

I remember Hookem saying some time ago that the China stitched jerseys you get on eBay were far superior to the ones you get from the NFL Shop.

I saw another guy on another thread saying the imports were crap.

I'm interested, but funds are limited.

Does anyone have any experience in ordering the import jerseys? Let's navigate the minefield together here. :bender:

I have and sell these jerseys from china.. The only thing I can tell you is to check the jersey over well before you buy.. some jerseys have the stitching messed up.. crooked name at times... but as far as i can tell for the price they are not bad jerseys... of course i have never washed mine.. I always get mine dry-cleaned.. so i could not tell you what it looks like out of the washer.. if you are intrested email me and I can meet up with you..

You what's weird, though? I'm pretty sure that's an authentic jersey. The numbers aren't pink or too small like the other 60,000 jerseys I see on gameday.

I think dude did that on purpose.

Actually what I said is the stitched ones from Asia were better than the cheap replicas with ironed on numbers from the NFL Shop.

The issue is you can get real good quality knock offs from Asia or real bad ones. It depends on who you are dealing with. Most of the Texans ones I am seeing nowadays are not cutting the numbers correctly.

It's not pnly upside down but it's also crooked. It's definitely a sitched replica.

I've got 3 china jerseys a white, red, and blue one.

All three ive washed in the washing machine and they came out fine.
the only issue I have with the jerseys is the sizing. all 3 of my jerseys are 52 (XL) but they are honestly all different sizes. My red one fits me like a medium and the other two like XL and XXL.

The numbers and stitiching are all decent on the jerseys thick material and I luckily got them all centered correctlly. The only issue with the stiching I have is the "TEXANS" that goes across the chest it looks so fake, and that is the dead give away that they are chinese jerseys.

Overall not a bad deal for the money to wear out to the bar, party, etc. but when I head down to the stadium I throw on my authentic one for sure!

Hope that helped a little...

GO TEXANS!!

For the price a decently made Chinese knock off is a good value. Its more fun to wear than my nflshop replica screen print jersey for $70 or so.

But obviously neither compare to my nflshop authentic Battle Red AJ jersey I got in 2004.

If I was new to the Texans, and in for the long haul I would just save up and get a legit authentic personalized jersey. Or a proven vet who will be a hall of famer. Something I can wear for 10+ years if I wanted.

I had no problem ordering a $25 china knock off of Cushing because if he got kicked out of the league or failed, I was only out $25.

I'm starting to like to wear the real NFL Replica jerseys with the screen numbers; they are alot more comfortable than the Chineese sewn jerseys. I do have the chinnese jerseys and they are good throw around jerseys, but not very comfortable.

Here are the reasons they are uncomfortable and the dead give aways they are knockoff chineese:

1. The numbers are usually really big and there thickness makes them less pliable which makes them uncomfortable especially when sitting down. The numbers on a real authentic are sewn on but really thin, so it makes the whole jersey comfortably fit better.

2. A dead give away is the NFL logo in the shape of a shield that sits at the bottom of the the V in the front of the collar in the front of the chest. On an authentic jersey the bottom of the sheild comes all the way down and touches the stitching line that runs horizontilly across the front of the chest. On the chineese version the NFL sheild is placed about a half an inch too high and the bottom of that shield does not reach the horizontal stitching line that runs across the chest.

3. Another dead give away is the colored stripe on the shoulders. On Authintic jerseys the stripe is thin and neat looking, with the corners of each strip sewing up nicely with the other lines of the jersey on under armpitt side. On the chineese version the stripe is really thick (double the size almost) and not the right material, which IMO makes the whole jersey look sloppy, because of the size and not sewn on to match the rest of the lines on jersey.

4. Also on The chineese jerseys the collar is a silky material that does not lay flat on your neck, which also makes the jersey look sloppy, The Texans writting on the chest is all connected by the same thread, and on the tag located at the bottom left of the jersey with the size there is usually more infromation on it than just the size.

i've got one of the chinese women's OD jerseys on order. for $150 i'm hoping it'll be decent. Can't get women's anything in stitched in the states! :-(
