Did you Boo

I don't care if the score was 150 to 2, why boo? That is no way to get your team up. Sure they looked terrible, but boo'ng them?

Even saw 2 guys in the parking lot wearing paper sacks. But didn't see any in the stadium...

No, because all the :homer: 's told me last year not to boo the home team at home, I'll wait till they get their heads out of the fog of having a new team then we can all hold hands and boo them together.:redtowel:

somehow if I booed the Texans(eventhough I am very ticked off right now), I'd feel like a certain music group that complained overseas about the U.S. a few years ago :heh:

seriously, I would rather walk away from the TV and not watch them than to sit there and boo every decision/every play that went the other way..

just too bandwagon for my taste because if they came back and won, I know this board would be lit up with threads like "OH MY GOD, did you see that comeback"

Why boo, them? Because they are getting paid millions of dollars and look like crap and are just getting worse.

Is that good enough?

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I honestly don't understand the going to games and booing.. I mean why not sell the game day tickets to some people that might really like to see an NFL game?

If there is a movie coming out and it doesn't look any good to me, I sure as hell ain't buying tickets to go see it just to make noise so other people can't enjoy themselves.

I totally agree.

I did not boo but at times I felt like it. IMHO booing is never appropriate but I can certainly understand why people do so.

I felt stupid today, because the team did not put in the effort or show the promise that would justify how I've defended them up until now. Totally disheartening.

Ah, I see. We are supposed to cheer when they do well, but when David 8 million dollar man Carr can't throw the ball 40 yards we're just supposed to say, aw shucks, he gave it a good try? And when they get a TD taken away by a boneheaded, actually frickin stupid, roughness call, we're supposed to say, ah darn, good try, hope he learns from his mistake! Of course I boo'd these frickin morons. They were pathetic. And they get big bucks to look pathetic. Especially pretty boy loser David *((*$#% Carr.

If you take away all the people who spend the money and booo, then there will be alot of empty seats due to the price of these seats.

I watched the UFC PPV last night and the crowd was booing both the winners and losers. Guys who were giving it their all and making a lousy 5K-10K were getting booed. I thought that was totally classless. This I can understand.

I don't understand why some people are hung up on how much money these guys are making. It's not my money. I don't care what some GM and Owner decides to pay a player. I just want a good team on the field... and right now, I don't have one. Carr's salary is irrelevant to that. The GM, Owner, and Coaches have made decisions to put the best group of players on the field that they could get... and this is as good as we're getting. I want them to concentrate on doing the things they need to do to get this fixed.

But I expect us to have a top 10 pick this year.

so why waste your money?

after all it is YOUR money paying these guys

You act like this was what we expected. I plunked down money this off-season because I thought we would put a better team on the field. If I knew then that we were gonna suck this bad no I wouldn't have spent the money. Unfortunately just like the draft there are no do-overs there are no oops.

that is what i mean on previous post.. sell the tickets(not your PSL, but sell the game day ticket)

hahaha...what makes u say that?

:)

I've always predicted that. Back in the pre-season when we thought our defense would actually be a strength of this team, I thought we might win 8 games but I've always predicted a 5-11 season. That's a top 10 pick kinda season.

I think this team is going to get better as the season goes on but we're going to have to fight pretty hard to get that 5-11.

Its so funny how easy a carr thread can be born lol.. just add water... but anyway carr's play was respectable although he had his share of mistakes also. When i do come to my first texans game no matter what the outcome i will not boo.

When you give up a 42 yard draw play for a touchdown at the end of the half...I'm pretty sure its ok to boo! (and i'm a :homer: )

To who. It's not like they're in demand and the way they're playing right now you don't make any profit from them. You might as well give them away, but then that's a huge waste isn't it.

Yeah, I don't think I would be able to boo the Texans. I'm just glad Houston has a professional football team. Our ship will come in someday. Sooner than later, hopefully.

I think you'd be suprised if you posted some tickets up. I'd think some people would buy them at face value

No I didn't boo. I was still yelling into the 4th quarter...

I don't boo my team. I'll stay home and give my tickets away before I boo my own team.

It just doesn't make sense to me to pay money to go to a football team and then boo my guys. It doesn't make sense on any level.

You say :homer: like its a bad thing.

For some reason I get the feeling Kubiak knows they suck and probably doesn't need any help from the Peanut Gallery.

Sorry, I will never boo the home team. Well I will be booing Dallas.

As fans we can protest in two ways. Don't go to the game or sell your ticket and leave your seat empty.

Or BOO....

McNair needs to hear it along with Gary and the entire team. This BS about "give it time" is just that....BS...

What we have been presented with is a team that has taken not one step, but a few steps back after last year. That in itself deserves some form of protest.

It was and is absolutely inexcusable for the defensive effort and game planning that was put forth. It's one thing to make the observations of lack of talent and such, but the lack of coaching from our DC and ultimately Gary Kubiak is ridiculous. To not make ONE adjustment at halftime is over the top. For Washington to come back on the field and continue to run EXCATLY the same offensive sets and calls without any change from our defense, is telling.

While suggesting a firing so early for Richard Smith is a bit rash, if there is not a better effort or change of game plan in the next few games, then the "BOO's" will not only be relentless, but deserved!

I posted the remainder of my season tickets on StubHub this evening, after watching that fiasco live today. Since I have held PSL's since the beginning, I will keep buying the tickets...But, if they keep up this stinking, steaming pile of crap they try to sell off as PROFESSIONAL football, I'll start selling them off early and just try to get my money back. For the cost vs entertainment value, it's not worth driving 100 miles each way, spending 4 hours at the stadium and $50 - $75 on food, right now.

i will curse like a drunken sailor, but you will not hear me boo.

i just cant find it in me to make that kind of noise to show my displeasure. but you will hear curse words and alot "come on! lets get it going." i dont see how players get encouraged from the fan base with booing. i also wear texan gear after a loss to let other know im still behind my team and that im no bandwagon fan.

I wish I knew someone at the game, so I called have called them on their cell, and booed the hell out of them long distance. They were so bad, people in the rest of the state want to annex Houston to new Orleans. People in Amarillo are wearing I love NY, and Virginia is for lovers tee shirts so they don't have to admit they are from the same state. What a stinking, flaming, pile of dog **** that was. If they had any pride, every player and coach would donate their first three game checks to charity, but that actually takes heart, and they have none. The cowardly lion had more heart than this bagful of losers. :ok:
