DD got some blocking

First of all, what a comeback :whew , great game on both sides of ball in that second half. But getting back on topic, look at DD, looks like he did last year, and big ups to the O-line because I actually saw some good Zone blocks today, O-lineman running down field and getting on LBs and look what it lead to DD had the best game of the season. DD had 129 yards a TD, and 8.1 yards per carry, look what he can do with some actual blocking, hope we can do that more consistently.:headbang:
 
agreed, even negating what DD doubters will most likely call an "allowed TD" run, he had a huge game today and had 100+yds from scrimmage. i think incorporating the TE's in the check down game helped keep the D honest so they couldn't laser beam in on davis out of the backfield. the line also seemed to accomplish what they've been experimenting all year with on more plays then not with the run game. pass protection wasn't stellar, but it got the job done. time to nit pick later, the time to celebrate is now! :jumpbanan :coolb: :jumpbanan
 
I believe we will see more of the same the rest of the year,getting the tight end involved more in this offense Gives it that 3rd dimension as it allows the Running game to evolve :whoohoo:
 
:banana: Yes, i know a lot of people were starting to doubt our o-line and DD, even i was starting to get worried but they got the job done and came up big today. Today you could actually see the blocks the just caved off one side of the line and DD had a huge hole to run through. Norris also got someaction on a few toss plays great job. :whoohoo:
 
D.D had a good game i dont see how yall think his LONG run was a give me, the titans were trying to stop us so they could get the ball back, and they knew we were running the ball ! He had a few big gains, i saw the D.D from last year out there on the field !
 
Im not sure if it was a give me or not but if it was I sure am happy they gave to us, but after looking at the replays it looked like the Titans D just got blocked. I didnt see anyone just not give an effort or just look at him run past them so I think it wa just a good run.

Great game from Billy, I always wondered why we stopped throwing to him, especially after that team leading performance in '02. You see how when he and DD got involved it opened the downfield passes like that TD to AJ.
 
I am also excited about DD's play today, but I'm still hesitent to get too excited about it since the titans had alot of second stringers out there. If he runs like this every week from here on out I'll be estatic!!! :whoohoo:

Both safeties, lolb, and 1 cb. Two of the dl are rookies. That is why I didn't get overly excited about the ol and dd. They still pressured Carr with that. We should have been able to run and pass alot easier than we did. At least find AJ. I'll take the win though.
