David Carr is Tim Couch... but not as good.

If you are going participate in a hate Carr thread then you should have some background on it. This thread was started many months ago. No need to inflate the hate. :)

My bad..I didn't read the start date...sorry. But still...dumb thread to me. Couch had a piss-poor attitude, and he had no reason to have one, IMHO. Carr, who has been treated like a tackling dumby by this organization, has one of the better attitudes in the NFL. Is Carr great...no. Is he going to be great...more than likely not. Is he capable of being a solid NFL QB...yes. Couch just wan't capable of being an NFL QB...JM:twocents:

next week I'm planning to re-open a "draft Carr or Harrington" thread and see how much fun we can have with that ....

Whoa....... this hate Carr thread had nothing to do with the Rose Bowl.

Interesting.

Look this Carr situation is turning into the Yao Ming situation of last year (ie the question of will Yao ever start to act like a true superstar center, instead of playing like one). Well, Yao's been hot lately, and finally showing that he truly is a superstar.

This next season, Carr might yet prove the doubters wrong.

Didn't realize the dates were so off..just noticed this and found fault with a lot of the carr hating so decided to post. I stand by my brady statement too. I'm a proud m*sshole who went nuts everytime the pats won the super bowl. But Brady was not very good at all year one...not kyle orton bad but not good. This past year he was lights out. But it's been a growing experience. And this past year he did pretty much carry the pats, at least for the beginning of the year. But he's had a few years of help to get him to where he is now.

I'm just saying that if carr had the right pieces around him that he could make some progress towards being an elite qb. He's got the talent.

Yeah, hold your breath on that one...

I know that I am VERY cynical when it comes to Carr. I have a VERY hard time believing that he will ever be much better than he is right now.

For four years I have given Carr every benefit of the doubt and defended him countless times against critics...not anymore. I feel like he has been given enough time to show improvement, regardless of his supporting cast. Guess we'll see this year...I hope I'm wrong, I really do b/c our team will be a joke until we have a QB that can actually play like an NFL QB.

Cool thread... thanks for bringing it back.

Too bad the Texans didn't sign Couch or my point could have been proven. You guys will figure it out soon enough.
