Dallas Cowgirls

SBTexans08

Rookie
Did any of you guys see The Best Damn Sports Show...Period???

Every single one of those guys either has them going to the playoffs for sure and one had them going to the SB. I mean every single one felt confident they would make it at least to the playoffs....ever guy on there!!!! Are you kidding me???

I know that Testaverde runs a Parcell's offense very well and throw in Keyshawn and you're adding a new twist but is this all enough to get these guys back to the playoffs.........even a SB?? I doubt it. idonno: IMO, they miss the playoffs this year. What do you guys think???

I think Vinny is competant but will not last the 16 game schedule without some injury.

I am sure they will bring in another veteran QB .

I think that Henson will play this year and play like most rookies.

I feel sorry for anybody with a drug problem and I hope Quincy gets his private life straightened out and then worries about his football career. It's his life that is in danger here.

I would say they'll miss the playoffs. They do have a good defense though and that will keep them competitive.

I personally don't like Keyshawn and think he's over-rated but he does put up nice numbers for Parcells....

I'm going to say they miss the playoffs just due to the fact that they're in a tough division. The Eagles in Redskins are better teams IMO but the Cowgirls defense should keep them close enough to look like contenders.

Yeah but the Redskins have yet to establish themselves as a powerhouse, even more so a playoff contender. The Cowboys have already done that. I'm not saying that the Redskins will be less of a team but I'm just wanting to cover all grounds here and come up with a nice conclusion.

With Gibbs back should help them out more than that bonehead Spurrier (FishLips). I think that the Eagles will beat the girls twice and the Redskins splitting their games. I haven't looked at the schedules but to me I put the as Eagles, Redskins, Cowboys, Giants.

An optomistic view is if you look at our starting offense now, all of a sudden this a very veteran and battle tested group. While playing in big games last year may have shaken our youth at the skilled positions, now we have Testaverde, George, Keyshawn in their places. For the SHORT term, maybe we will indeed be better. If our offensive line on the right side shores up, we could be a lot closer then we as fans realize.

The Cowboys will have a ball control offense. Run the ball with Julius Jones, let George get you a few yards here and there and the short passing game.

A realistic appraisal would uncover an offense that is old & decrepit at the skill positions. How many teams would wake up one morning with a 40 year old Vinny Testaverde at QB and proclaim themselves playoff, no wait Super Bowl contenders? I guess no other team except Dallas as the rest of the league ignored Testaverde last spring during free agency.

3 more reasons Tuna & the Girls will watch the playoffs on TV:

1. Minnesota
2. Atlanta
3. Tampa Bay

Each will finish with a better record than Dallas and 1 will capture the last wildcard berth the cowgirls fell into last year.

Testaverde will do great with DC. Parcells has been complimenting on his physical ability for a while. He called Vinny after his conditioning test a physical phenomanom. I expect Vinny do shock everybody this year including yourself. Minnessota, TB, and Atlanta wont have better records. I have no doubt we'll beat the Vikings on Sept 12. As long as we can contain Moss we'll be fine. Our #1 defense is the perfect team that can do that. For once think realisticly, I know thats real hard but I know you can do it

I like Vinny, and I like Parcells, but come on now. The Super Bowl is a bit of a stretch. The Vikings had a pretty good defense last year too, and I believe they led the league in getting turnovers. This year they added a very skilled CB, their D-Line looks much better, and the team leader in interceptions last year is getting competition for the FS spot. Add to that the number one offense last year, and an excellent stable of RBs and Big D is in for a Big L. The Redskins will be much better too with Gibbs. As I mentioned before in Gibbs coaching career he's had only one losing season (7-9). With Portis in the backfield and Brunell under center the Cowboys are going to be in for a tough battle the two times they meet up this year. I don't see the Cowboys reaching the playoffs with even a 9-7 record. Chances are they'll hover at or around .500 for the season. Minnesota will win the NFC North and I predict that Atlanta and Green Bay will earn wild card spots. Rams will be competing for the Wild Card at the end of the season and the Cowboys will be left on the outside looking in. Henson will see some garbage time playing the last few games in order to get him ready to start next season.

Also, if I remember correctly the Patriots showed some interest in Vinny too. I think Dallas was the favorite to get him all along though.

It's hard not to take the Pack as division Champs especially with Green in the backfield, but they have some weaknesses this year. Especially in the special teams. They lost Bidwell who was so successful in GB, and they have a rookie punter. It wouldn't be such a weakness if they had a great defense, but I feel they won't be very successful on D this year. I also feel that after choking last year on the last play of the last game that the Vikings will be fired up this year, but I could be wrong. They could nose dive and choke again.

We'll I never said they would get the sb. They will definetly be in the thick of it with battles between their NFC East rivals

The GB Vs. Vikes thing I see as a coin toss, but Washington SHOULD have a better record than Dallas. They have been stocking some REAL talent for the last three years and Gibbs will get them to perform. They are just more talented overall than Dallas. The Dallas defense will keep them in games, but they will be about 500.

With Woodson out and no decent replacement for Edwards, their D won't quite be what it was last year... then when you factor in "Old Man Rivers" as their starting QB, I think they'll be playing for a wildcard birth at best. I predict they wont go lower than 6-10, but no higher than 9-7.

Woodson will be back but there will be some dropoff while he's gone. This is supposedly his last year anyway so they'll probably be working somebody else in there anyway.

They have some money to spend and I wouldn't be surprised if the Cowboys don't sign some vets that are dropped from other squads.

I'll have to see Vinnie play to see what that's going to be like. Parcells said he's in the best shape of his life but still he is 40 or whatever....I think Henson will play alot this year anyway.

They'll bring a veteran QB in I think.
