Dallas Cowboys: The Cowboys tried to solve a run-stopping weakness by reaching a one-year agreement with former Seahawks defensive tackle Chad Eaton on Wednesday.

Eaton agreed to a one-year, $660,000 contract He is expected to add depth at nose tackle. In the first two exhibition games, the Cowboys have had difficulty stopping some inside runs.

Eaton, 32, worked primarily as a run-stopper for the Seahawks, but he had to sit out last season because of knee problems. He had a scope on a knee and needed three more procedures because of infections that developed after the operations.

The Seahawks waived him in late February for cap reasons. Eaton was due to receive $2.4 million this season.

With 76 starts in seven seasons, Eaton, an avid weightlifter, should give the Cowboys some backup support against the run.

Looks like Parcells wasn't happy with the inside play of his D-Line. Seems surprising as they let go of Willie Blades. He seemed to do a good job for them.

Eaton sounds great to me. I was a little worried about who would replace Blade.

Blade was cut because he was in horrible shape when training camp along, he could barely run. When the Giants got him they realized he was in bad shape also, they then traded him to the Jags, where he's working with the third team defense
