Could this happen here?

It could happen here if people will not comply with the terms of use of the MB (ahem--such as trying to get around the computer editor for vulgar and obscene language). Four or five teams have gotten rid of their message boards because of the insults, off-topic fighting, racist remarks, etc. Hopefully everyone will keep that in mind here.
 
The Texans management has kept it no secret that character is very important to the organization. :thumbup
I am sure they will hold their fans to the same standards.
I wouldn't want it any other way. :twocents:

As far as trolls go....as difficult as it is sometimes...it's best to ignore them.

Good time to give props to the new administrators and moderators of this forum, anyone who has been around awhile should agree that the boards are much better then then the 'pre-moderated' forums.

I would guess that the teams that shut theirs down set up the forums and then took thier hands off the wheel. Forums on the internet tend to take on a life of their own. Once things get out of control (thru lack of attention and moderation) it is very difficult to reign them back in again.

I'm 1000 % behind your comment and I'm very grateful for this MB, but I'm curious, if you think so highly of this MB (and I presume the org in general), why do you patronize another org here on this site ? Wouldn't you want to be with those who share your sentiments rather than with those of us who are here because of our loyalties to this team ? Just curious.
 
I see your point completly.
To me, this MB is the best General NFL Dissusion board I've ever been to. Much better than NFL-Fans, ESPN, etc. That's why I joined back in June. What's better is you're disscussing NFL football not with some losers in Philadelphia or New York, but your discussing football with fellow Texans (People born in Texas).

lol, it's a win win situation for being a Dallas fan. You have a few Cowboy fans to talk Dallas football with, a few Houston fans know a little about Dallas since they're also always on regionally to Houston fans, plus a few Dallas haters to debate with, which is always fun ;)

I'm reading this board only for about a week, but it is pleasant surprise, very civilized. I knew the Official Saints MB and i never missed it after the shutdown.

Very nice people in authority here as well as educated fans and friendly conversation along with disagreement. No complaints from me. I really enjoy posting here and reading what everybody thinks.
 
That's bad. And it has been a tendency in many forums to be attracted by many negative people and/or very bad fans.

As in here, the Titans Online Message Board, is keeped as clean as possible.
 
Man, that's too bad about other teams' forums. It just takes a few bad apples to ruin the whole thing for everyone.

But major props to the Texans organization and the moderators here! You guys are doing a great job, and I've been extremely impressed with these boards. Keep up the good works and thanks for your devotion to the cause! :)
