So the Bush haters get their wish. Instead of a multiskilled dynamic once in a generation player to fit in a proven offensive system the team gets a superfluous DE. I guess we should be happy about the 5 TDs Williams prevents a season instead of the 15+ that RB scores elsewhere.

VY would've been a better pick if they weren't going with Bush.

But hey, at least the team doesn't have a delta in the cap between the offense and defense. I guess I'll touch myself now.

You can't be serious taking Vince Young Number #1. You are not taking a QB when you give an 8 million dollar option to Carr If I am the Texans. You do this. Mario Williams a great pick. A pass rusher that can make plays. You get a pass rusher that defense becomes better. You put pressure on the QB your secondary becomes ten times better. Either you take williams or trade out of that pick, get a couple extra picks. Take Fergonson the offensive tackle out of Virgina. Vince Young ran a very Vinalla offence at Texas. He didn't read any defenses, all of his routes were one route reads. If that read was not there he took off. I am not convinced he will be a good QB at the next level. However in this draft and on day one Houston does need to take on O-lineman. Eric Winston out of Miami is good or Nick Mandold out of Ohio State would be a good pick in the second round.

Um, I'm not exactly a VY fan. Now you have to give up some of your higher picks in the top 100 to help you move into the low 1st round and pick up a running back. That means you can forget about Oline help at #33.

You build a team from the inside out. Running back is not a need. Maybe a little later on in the draft, but as of right now. Taking Eric Winston or Nick Mangold would be the smarter pick Offensivle Houston is not that bad. David Carr has the weapons. You need to protect him. He can not continue to get sacked 50 or 60 times a season.

DE wasn't really a need at this point either.

RB isn't a need if you believe Davis can stay healthy. The team's already indicated that they are looking for a back at the end of the 1st round, so, well, enjoy.

This is nothing but just plain old media hype. Bush only ran the ball 20 times a game, and he did that behind an offensive line that was perhaps the best in the nation. He had only one good year and the Texans already have a good to very good RB who has proven himself in the NFL -- unlike Bush. And DE is hardly a superfluous position. When you don't put pressure on the QB, you don't get turnovers. And when you don't get turnovers, you don't win games. Remember how many turnovers the Texans got in the early part of the year? Zero. How many wins did they have? Zero. This is a team game, not a fantasy football contest made up of individuals. Remember, when the Colts had a choice to either pay the RB or the DE, they chose to pay the DE.

Why do you think the Texans need a RB when they have Morency as well as Wells? RB definitely is NOT the problem here!!!

I don't know what team you are looking at, but the Texans desperately needed somebody who could rush the passer. Weaver can't rush the passer and Cowart can't rush the passer. The stats show they can't rush the passer, and that's what creates turnovers and that's what wins games. Maybe the team will draft a RB, maybe they won't. I personally don't think they have to. Heck, they've drafted a RB every year! They are flush in that position.

You should be happy, your Titans are guaranteed to get their man.`
