Just wanted to give Mad Props to Andre Johnson for a Great Game and for putting up a League Leading 152 yards today.

Yes it was a great game for AJ. And yes, we are 0-3. Drew, I can understand how your feel about the game but, AJ and Demeco are the only bright spots we can talk about.
 
Can you imagine if A.J. was on another team like the Colts or Bengals having Palmer or Peyton throwing to him every week, the guy has talent galore, I just hope he stays a Texan for life........:redtowel:
 
I'll take it. Nothing wrong with latching on to something positive. It was a bad day, and we all need something to praise.
 
Congrats to AJ!!!!! I hope he gets the chance to shine on a good team one day! I love the guys attitude and humble approach to the game! Plus, he represents "DA U!!!!!!"
 
Andre looked good today for sure. Carr looked good at times as well. It's small consolation for our 0-3 record though.....I guess we all need something positive to pontificate on though
 
As for the original topic, I'm happy for him too. Hoped he could get a TD to go along with all that yardage, but hes putting up good numbers anyways!
 
do yall realize that at the rate Andre is going at he can get over 1500 yrds, so probably another pro-bowl appearance

and carr is on road to close to 3500

quite a feat when you take into consideration the amount of time our defense is on the field unable to stop anyone & breaking any momentum the offense has.
 
Don't think for one minute that DRob and AJ aren't well aware of how much more they could accomplish on a better team. Leaving is going to be a serious temptation, I just bet--especially for DRob because he's already shown serious irritation.
 
Almost forgot: Congrats, AJ! Don't stop gettin' better, cuz you got what it takes to be #1 most every week!

for real. dunta ought to get a medal of valor for what he has done for this team playing on a walk-over defense. he hasnt been perfect, but at least he will show the rest of the defense up and spit fire on them for not putting effort. dunta is a warrior, as is demeco.

u have got to be kidding me. he is the only guy that looks like he gives a damn. he may be the best tackler on the team. i know he has been burned, but what do u expect when u cant put pressure on the QB to force him to make a hurried and untimed throw.

Question - What are AJ and DR's contractual commitments? When do they hit the free agent market and will the Texans hang the franchise tag on AJ if need be?

i dont care if he gives a damn or not. you dont get a job in the nfl because "you give a damn". the guy gets burned week in and week out. and not just THIS season, he looked terrible in 05 as well. he hasnt even deflected a pass so far! thats his damn job and so far he's not doing it. bright spot on our defense...yeah right.

yeah, deion sanders, champ bailey and co. were known for having 100+ tackles/seasons and zero ints&deflections. seriously though, duntas job is to break thoses passes up and so far he's not doing it. who cares how many tackles he gets? that just shows you how ineffective he is in coverage. he gives up catches and then he's tackling the receiver. is that really something you should celebrate?

same thing with demeco ryans. 9 out of 10 tackles he makes are 10yds downfield and everybody is celebrating him for having so many tackles. his job is to stuff the run and not to stop an opposing RB after he gets the 1st down. how many times did demeco tackle a RB for a loss of yardage? how many yds/run is he giving up? is it something in the 2-3yds/play or more like 7-8yds/play range? i just cant understand why everyone is celebrating guys like that. yes they're talented and all but so far they stink. plain and simple. cc brown gets faked out of his shoes and looks like a punter converted to safety out there, dunta and lewis sanders (at least he's breaking up a couple of passes) cant cover, our linebackers cant stop the run and our d-line cant rush the QB. this defense is pathetic.

ugh...alright, i feel better now. sorry for the rant but this defense is driving (not just) me nuts :)

Sorry, I don't really keep up with most of the writers/talking heads of the sports world.

The ones I have read/listened to aren't as knowledgeable as many of the posters on this site.

Bet he doesn't drink dark roast seaport though..:D
