I don't really care about Cowherd's opinions. He is the biggest hack on the radio. After Texas' national championship, I remember hearing one take where he rattled off a bunch of Texas stereotypes and called us all arrogant, essentially saying Houston fans wanted Young because we had big belt-buckles and hats, and thought since he was from Texas he was naturally better.
No, the people that want Young based on non-football factors are A)Houstonians who want a hometown hero at the helm. B)UT fans who want to watch their boy on Sundays. In what city in America would people not want their team to draft an elite, championship winning hometown boy? Seriously, Cowherd's opinion is the same as saying Bush doesn't run inside because he's from San Diego and he's all chill and laid back, doesn't like contact. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions as long as they are founded on good reasoning, Cowherd's usually aren't.
If you took Jim Rome and stripped him of his humor and common sense, you might end up with something like Cowherd. His show is awful... so much dead air, so many irrelevant takes, so many contrarian opinions for the sake of being contrary. Sorry if this is a little irrelevant to the discussion, but I saw the guy's name and couldn't help but vent.
Kiwanuka can be very good but is far from a lock. VY is as risky as any high-pick college QB, with considerably more upside than your typical college QB. D'Brick and Hawk are the only guarantees. Huff has the most upside of any defensive prospect (think Ed Reed/Troy Polamalu), but he doesn't wow you like Roy Williams or Deion did.
