Ive never really understood why the bears would want CB. I know Jones and Thomas arent the best runners in the league. But dont they need another WR, or defensive player?

I think they need to take either:

Braylon
Mike Williams
Johnson
Merriman
Rolle

I just dont think RB is a need when you have those 2 players.

the last thing the bears need is another corner...all of their corners produce at a high level...i agree with johnson or merriman for them...you put either one of them next to urlacher and that's an intimating defense...personally i think they need mike williams but that's just me

The Bears need someone who can block , they gave up 66 sacks last season for a total of 449 yards in losses . Thats almost as bad as the 72 the Texans gave up as an Expansion Team .
Their Defense is solid enough giving up only 20.7 ppg and leading the league in opponents 3rd down conversion with 30.5% . (The Raiders were worst in this stat with 47.4%) .
Their running game was decent gaining 101 ypg while the passing game suffered terribly posting a league low 137 yards per game 9 TD's 16 INT's .
Although its hard to see them taking Barron with the 4th pick its easy to see that they have a definate need for help along the O-line . Look for a trade down to take Barron or if they stay put they take one of the top 3 recievers.

Anthony Thomas is on the trading block and Jones did good last year, but nobody is going to confuse him with being an elite guy...They want to go back to their smashmouth glory days, and Benson is the type of back that could help them with that...That said, the only way they go Benson is if Edwards is taken in the top 3...I don't think they would take Mike Williams because they already signed a big possession guy in Mushin Muhammad this offseason...
