Patriots.com reports the New England Patriots have released LB Chad Brown.

He was pretty good with Seattle. He would be a definite upgrade to this defense.

If by upgrade we're looking for formerly fast and currently old and cant stay healthy, then yeah we should jump all over him. In the last 3 years he has played in 36 games and amassed 131 tackles.

Key word there WAS. I'd rather have Sharper back.
