CBS preseason poll Aggies ranked no.1

Doing a poll now, for next season, is pretty meaningless, but that is a surprise at #1. I would have expected in the top 10 but not #1.
 
Why not? They "rolled" the Tide, the eventual "champion". However didn't they lose some key players?

Starters:

LT Luke Joeckel (junior)
WR Ryan Swope
WR Uzoma Nwachukwu
RB Christine Michael
C Patrick Lewis
DE Damontre Moore (junior)
LB Sean Porter
ILB Jonathan Stewart
P Ryan Epperson

The rest are depth guys. The two Juniors are expected to be top 5 picks, so I can't blame them for going, but I sure wish they had stayed. The A&M recruiting class this year is the best in a long time, so I'm not too worried about it. I think 5 of the recruits are Juco transfers, which will help fill the holes. They have a great blocking TE recruit coming in that is in the size of Gronkowski, so I think he will help keep the pocket clean and slow down edge rushers.

There are 3 big body WRs recruits too, and I expect at least one of them to be in the starting rotation. Ricky Seals-Jones is ranked as the #8 WR in the country on ESPN, so I hope he works out well. Seems like a good kid too.
