boy what a jerk.. i really cant stand him sometime. "I dont want to talk about the candidates, ok" bah.. just throw out your prewritten and politically correct response and move on.

I see what you're talking about Grid and I'm not knocking you for feeling that way. I just want to add that if he starts gushing over somebody or gives out any real information then we'll all see posts in here from people upset about how he's not playing his cards right and how stupid he is for giving out all kinds of information.

Honestly, even if he did tell you a bunch of stuff I wouldn't trust any of it. Anything that would qualify as "good information" that you get from Casserly (or really most GM's) this far away from the draft would probably be disinformation anyway.
 
I dont want any information :)..i understand he cant give it.. but he is just such a haughty prig sometimes. Just spit out the normal "All the candidates are great and time will tell".. and move on.
 
He NEVER says anything that any fan doesn't already know just by watching ESPN, reading message boards or reading the local paper.

His show is a complete waste of time. I guess 610 pays him. What a waste of money.

"Your picks in the draft have been good and, though there have been some controversial selection.. anyone who sits and looks at your full body of work would have to say that you have been an effective GM in the draft for the TExans. But your moves in FA have been questionable at best to many fans.. and it is hard to find too many good FA signings in the last few seasons. Why is that? Is it hard to find free agents who want to come to Houston? Is it a cap issue? Are our requirements as far as age and personality too strict to allow certain FAs to come in? Or have we just made some bad choices?"

I dont want to call long distance :).... bah..pointless anyway.. he would probably just say "We really have gotten some great players from Free Agency.. it has just been a hard few seasons and our coaching staff wasnt using them to their full potential"
 
Just get past the personality quirks, and listen to what he's saying, . . . and what he's not saying.

Hervoyel brought up the word, "disinformation". If there's anything that Casserly is real good at, it is that.

His interviews are boring.. and im fine with that.. there isnt a GM in the league who spells out what he is going to do.

I just...dont...like him.. hes a cocky *******.
 
I don't want him to play his cards and would rather he shut up. Maybe by saying nothing today he actually got a talking to by the boss. It is like he can't help being a moron and needs constant supervision. He is surly in every interview so that is nothing new.
 
Casserly is testy this morning, really piled on the Red Raider for saying
that he (Casserly) didn't know anything about a Tech player a few years
back as a possiable draftee.

I've not complained that he does this. I have no idea when he's ever done that.
 
A coach cannot be hired to a higher position on another team..if he has a contract. He has to be approved to leave by his existing team that he is under contract with.

So if we wanted wade phillips as our DC.. we COULD have him come here.. but the chargers would have to approve it.. and they wont.

or Bill Parcells heh.. I made a comment to a friend of mine that Parcells will get himself fired if he brings T.O. onto the team. The mouths on those two will lead to one of them saying something that will get the league or NAACP on their back and someone is gonna get fired and/or banned from the nfl :)

No, I didn't like his interviews either because I wanted him to stop acting like things were OK and wanted to see him get some attitude. Charlies surliness isn't an attitude per se, it is a man who is defensive and abrasive and who doesn't have a clue.

It's amazing Parcells hasn't been severly fined yet. The xhance of him and TO on the same tema makes me happy for some reasons. Why?
 
So there you have it. We will NOT trade Carr to the Saints for the #2 pick, like the Saints would do the trade anyways.
