Carr vs. Harrington and AJ vs. Rogers!!!!

Diehardtexan

I try to forget about this week and start discussion about next week.

Before the draft we had too many threads about who should have been picked first.

Carr or Harrington
Aj or C. Rogers

Not that this coming week is going to be any indication to who is better. Because there are many factors to who will do better, but I think everyone will be talking about who made the right pick. will the players be out to prove this. I think nothing short of a win, will we get any respect this week. The talk in the media will be mostly about the picks. There's really nothing else to make this game more interesting outside of Houston and Detroit.

might have to change part of the thread to AJ versus Williams.. Looks like Rogers is going to be out for a while with the ole collerbone injury again .

I was going to do that, but the injury should be part of the discussion. Would he have suffered that injury if he was in a Texans uniform? What do Lions fans think now? Do they think they would have been better off drafting AJ in stead?
I know that no one knows. I think Rogers has all the tools and the soft hands but not durable enough for the of the NFL.

Carr and A.J. vs the league's combination is better.
Carr and A.J. need to be given the chance to shine......the coaching staff does good in trying to eat up the clock but there is such a thing as being too conservative when you have great talent as you do in Carr and A.J.!!

I honestly thought Harrington was great in college. He should have gone to the National Championship game instead of Nebraska. That said, Carr has been a bit better than Harrington to date. The first two years of stats for QB's are often misleading though. Go back and look at Aikman and Elway and you will know what I am talking about.

I'm Gonna Keep It Simple...

Carr > Harrington...Carr Has More Arm Strength, Better Accuracy, And Better Mobility...

AJ > Rogers Due To Rogers' Lack Of Durability...If Rogers Wasn't So Fragile, They'd Be About Even...

Carr vs. Harrington

Edge to Carr on his physical abilities alone. I think both have something to prove this year, to huss their critics

Johnson vs. Rogers

Right now it is AJ due to Rogers inability to stay heathly. Also AJ seems to be a more rounded receiver than Rogers. The one thing that is a plus for Rogers if he can ever stay heathy is that he has a equally impressive receiver on the other side of the field (Roy Williams), so it will be hard to double both of them.

carr is better then harrington in my opinion this argument is not even as close as it might apear to be! carr playing for an expansion team cannot be over looked, i know the lions have played like one for several years but they are still an organization that has had a foundation for many years! i have heard some say that leftwhich is better then carr which may be true in the years to come but what has he done that is so much better then what carr has done and again leftwhich came in at a time when the jags were an expierenced organization. i believe the next hurddle the texans and carr needs to clear is to get that first winning streak. it is always tough to get your first of anything and everytime the texans turn around they have a first stairring them in the face(first win, first road win, first winning streak, first shut out etc.) this has got to be added pressure on the team and on individuals such as carr. as for rogers vs dre i believe rogers maybe the better player in time but i will take a healthy dre over a hurt rogers anyday!! and its not like dre is a slouch he will still be a top 10 wr for his time!!!! having said all that as long as dre and carr are texans they will be the best qb wr tandum in the nfl!!!!!! (in my eyes)
