For all those that get up early in the morning be prepared to see a familiar face Wednesday morning. Cold Pizza is previewing the 2005 NFL Draft, and Wednesday they're going to be discussing the QB Class. David Carr will be on to help them sort it all out. I'm guessing he won't be there in person, but via satellite. Cold Pizza airs from 7 to 9 in the morning on ESPN2, and then replays from 9 to 11 am on ESPN2.

I'll already be at work, so I will miss it.

Carr didn't say anything too revealing, but he was asked about 4 questions. They asked him how important the team that takes a QB in the draft is in determining the success of that QB. To which he replied that it was pretty important, and it went a long way in getting a young QB acclimated to the NFL. He was also asked what it takes to be the top QB taken, and he basically suggested that both Rodgers and Smith have the physical skills to adjust to the speed of the NFL game. The third question was about Jeff Tedford, and what he thought made him so good at developing NFL QBs. David basically said that Tedford's experience being a QB plays a big role in him being able to relate to the players which goes along way in being able to teach them. The fourth question was what he thought the Texans needed to do in the draft. Carr did his usual I don't really know, but we've got the players in place to compete speech. However, he continued on that he'd like to see another WR threat, and he mentioned that the Texans only got AJ in single coverage one time during the second half of last season. He felt that they needed a guy to take some attention of of AJ. Then the rest of the interview was about David's son Austin.
