Can't help but compare...........

O.U. got behind today to Texas A&M but you never saw Stoops team lose their confidence. Bob Stoops teaches confidence, and his teams reflect it. O.U. pulled it out at A&M's stadium because the Sooners believed. Of course it didn't hurt to have the hosses either.

In comparison, Brown's Texas team got behind in the first half to O.S.U., at their own stadium, before their home crowd, and a picture of Brown on the sideline looked like a deer in the headlights. For the forty-leventh time in his U.T. career, his team had fallen seriously behind, and you knew they were as good as road kill. No confidence in Brown, his coaches, or his 1920's coaching. When is the University going to wake up and realize the man is in way over his head? Its really a sad thing for such a great University, so rich in tradition, to be losing like they do. Texas has the hosses but not the right wrangler. :twocents:

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA They won!

7 straight TDs after trailing 35-7. Oklahoma State must have felt like a Ford Escort being passed up by a Ferrari.

1. OU only trailed by as much as 14 with 39 minutes to play. Mistakes by the Aggies (two fumbles inside their own 15 yd line got the Sooners back in the game. Stoops was taken to school by Fran yesterday.

2. Texas trailed by as much as 28 with 32 minutes to play and came back to win.

3. When did you post this?

4. How bad do you wish you could delete it? ;)

I posted it before the end of the first half. Do I wish I could withdraw it? NO! My basic feeling about Brown is still the same. When the chips are down, and he really needs to win a game, at some time during the rest of the college and BCS bowl selections series, he will do an el-foldo again. All I have to do is sit back and wait.

Heck he proved again this year that he can't beat Bob Stoops in the RedRiver Shootout! Was that the fourth, or was it the fifth straight time. And if he can't beat O.U., a lot of the old-line faithful are going demand his replacement. I just need to wait and see. :twocents:

Brown cant beat stoops in the red river shootout? So what? Alot of teams cant beat stoops in any game. Face it. OU is the team to beat down here. Stoops is a great coach, who has his players ready. They can score at will, play decent defense, and can strech out a game, until they take the lead.

At least take note that OU is feasting off of Texas boys.

Stoops is the worse thing that happened to Mack Brown. Brown is a good coach, better than most. Unfortuantely for Brown on the guys who he is not better than is in the same conference and same division that he is in.
