Can we catch the '81 Colts ?

Thought it would be the '82 Oilers. But the 1981 Baltimore Colts hold the distiction as having the most inept defense in the modern era.

They surrendered 6,793 yards, 68 touchdowns, and 533 pionts.

Can this defense catch them this year and set the all time record for futility ?

I appologise to everyone I influenced with my lofty 8-8 predictions in preseason. I really thought they were going to improve.

The Texans D would have to allow less than 410 yards per game the rest of the way to not break the record. That might be tough.

This is something to shoot for this year. If we break the record, it may be our for many, many years

We are currently giving up 483.7 yards and 32.7 points per game. At that rate we will be at 7,739 yards and 523.2 points by the end of 16 games.

We can definitely give up the yards, but will have to surrender a few more points per game to make sure we secure the record.

Seriously though. We play the Browns, Raiders and Titans(twice). Its probably not gonna happen.

Two of those guys were picked to play in a 3-4. Babin as you and I know is not a 1st round talent, the Titians played Casserly and stole all those picks that we currently need. But go back and cherry pick that draft and there is not much we would have done with those the picks we traded.

I never waivered from my 6-8 wins. Look at this brutal schedule. Wish we where in the NFC. At least we get the Titians twice this year.
