Call it progress?

Going .500 on the road really isn't that bad, the main problem was the way we lost some of those games. But if we can improve a little more at home next season, and keep our road games where its at or better, we could be in a pretty good wild card situation next season. The "positive" thing is we beat the teams we should have, and lost to the ones with good records. (Except for Detroit). In fact, all of our losses except for the Detroit game came to playoff bound teams. I would say things are looking up for us, especially with us dominating the division the way we did this season (other than the Colts games, and only the first game was really out of hand).

8-8 at the end of the season on a possible 3 game winning streak (Including a shutout and 2 of the games being on the road) would be a great way to build for next season.
-----------------------------------------------
Overall our opponents had a 49.46% win %.

Teams we beat had a 38.57% win pct.
Teams we lost to had a 64% win pct.
We are 3-4 at home and 4-4 on the road

7 Wins
8-7 x2 Jax
7-8 Kansas City
5-10 Oakland
5-10 Chicago
4-11 x2 Tennessee

8 Losses
12-3 x2 Indy
11-4 San Diego
10-4 NY Jets
9-6 Green Bay
9-6 Denver
8-7 Minnesota
6-9 Detroit

Remember how 'disgusted' all of you were when the Texans lost the home opener to the worst team in the league?

Ahhhhh . . . perspective!

ESPN doesn't know what it's talking about most the time.

Sad that many of us depend on their insight.

It's amazing what a turnaround Brees has pulled off.

Let's see back to back wins on the road. A chance to go 8-8 and win 3 in a row. Yes I have seen progress and hope to see more in 05!

Agreed, this team continues to improve year after year, another good draft and a few free agent pick ups and we will be in the playoffs in 2005 :jam:

Progress was proven today. There's no doubt at this point that they've made progress. If you had told me two weeks ago that they would win on the road against both Chicago and Jacksonville, I wouldn't have believed it. Next year I want to see playoffs!

Winning in your division is one of the most important things you can do in football. So absofreakinlutelyyes sweeping 2 division rivals alone counts as a huge improvement for the Texans. Lot's of room for growth but that is reason for celebration.
