Bryce Petty could be the Jets’ quarterback of the future.

Petty completed 12 of 19 passes for 168 yards and his first touchdown pass — a slick 13-yard throw to DeVier Posey.

Petty’s confidence was clear from his opening series when he led a 10-play, 51-yard drive for a field goal and engineered a third-quarter drive that went 57 yards on eight plays. It ended with Posey’s touchdown grab and extended the Jets’ lead to nine points.
