David Carr vs. Trent Dilfer
Which quarterback will put up the better high school-like numbers? The two COMBINED to throw for 121 yards last week with a touchdown and four interceptions. Dilfer has the edge over #8 in QB rating for the season owning a paltry 75.6 versus Carr’s 71.6. If either of these two NFL quarterbacks performs like one, their team will win.

It's pretty easy for our defense to make the other teams quarterback look like Joe Montana when they can't seem to get to the bench before they're sent back on the field.

I hope as well. But has it come to this that we have to ask that type of question of our #1 pick after 3.5 years?

Fingers and toes are crossed for this to be the game we see a warrior with skills in the field of play.

The Texans defense has allowed 9 scoring drives (6 TD's, 3 FG's) in the 12 opening possessions for each half this season. That's not the fault of the offense, the defense had plenty of rest. The defense is responsible for their own ineptness.

Maybe Carr will have a breakout game because the Browns defense is dead last in QB sacks. If the Texans can't pass protect this Sunday, they should go ahead and install the wishbone.

Unfortunatley Carr was sacked 7 times by the Browns in last year's season finale.

And that was minus the defensive minded Romeo Crennel as head coach. Hopefully with an extra week to gel and players to learn old and new positions, they'll be able to protect better. If not, then unfortunatley we may be seeing a repeat of last year.

Obviously, this is a game both teams need badly. The Browns are upset that we are favored by 2 in the spread to beat them. However, with strong fan support in Reliant, anything is possible. Here's what we need to do beat the Cleveland Browns Sunday:

-efficent passes that go for 4-8 yards per play. This will also alow us to have a nice, balanced run game.

-Stop the run game, early. Force them to pass the ball with Dilfer, and we have more chances to get turnovers

-Reduce penalites, espically since its at home

Big game, so we can get this season finally headed in the right direction possibly. Cheer us on like never before!

Go Texans!:texflag:

Yeah, and bring in Vinny Young to run it.

And hard to watch, too.

That's funny because it's true. :tv:

Agreed, JP Losman looked all-pro against our defense, and I use the term loosely. Dilfer goes for 250 yards only because he has to hand the ball off enough for them to run for over 200 on us as well. Oh, and he does it with his left hand tied to his right foot.
