Becoming A Season Ticket Holder

After being a Texans fan for many years, I am finally in a position where I can afford to purchase season tickets.

I have already signed up for the priority waiting list. Does anyone know if I can expect an opportunity to purchase season tickets for the 2012-2013 season or is there a multi-year wait? Secondly, do all season tickets require the purchase of a PSL?

I can't wait to finally never have to miss another home game or try to scalp tickets!
 
All right, in summary:

1. the wait list is a joke.

2. find a ticket rep and politely call them maybe every 2 weeks 'checking up' to see what is available.

3. several sections do not require PSL's, I think 500 endzone and 600 and 700 levels.

4. you can always buy season ticket rights or PSL's on here, Ebay, Stubhub, etc., etc., etc. Just be careful.

Marketplace usually has them, but the price can be steep.

Yankee's advice is sound, keep bugging them every few weeks. Squeaky wheel definitely gets the grease!

Season Ticket Holders receive invoices in February. You'll want to start calling sometime between February & March. They will give some slack to ticket holders that miss their payments, and they will not be able to sell you anything until they process the existing accounts. March is probably the earliest you can secure them. Don't wait for the call though - be pro-active.
 
Also check Craigslist. I found mine on there for a good price too. You just have to make sure the person is legit, plenty of ways to do that.

I have to agree with Roc on this one. I think folks will jack up psl's especially if they make the playoffs. However, there are people on there who still list psl's for a fair price. It just takes awhile to find them.

I had a friend that got on the wait list at the begining of the year for psl's in the mezzanine. When his rep called and said that they had tickets for him, it was over 3 grand for 2 seats which is double what a psl owner pays. he questioned the rep and was told that because he did not purchase the psl's that the seats where double. you may want to check with the ticket rep you are working with to see if that is the case. If so, I would recomend that you go after psl's. You got plenty of time to buy the psl. It took me 8 months to find the right deal, but it was worth the wait. remember that as long as you close a deal by nov 1 2012, you will still get the playoff tickets for the 2012 season.

While you have time to spread out the cost through the rest of this season psl's may be the way to go. Then you are guaranteed to have the seats next season, and pay normal price for the seats.
