Like the ranking. I would slide Bradford to #2, Stafford #1. McCoy from Pitt would be a top 5 back. REggie Bush, but can run between the tackles. Macklin #1 WR. Good work though!

Don't really like Stafford. He has the arm for sure. I think Bradford looks more NFL ready.

I'm so confused about McCoy. He said he was leaving. Then he was staying. Now he's leaving again? He would be 4th on my list and knock Spiller off.

Funny that you said that about Maclin. I was tempted to put him as my #1 WR. I don't think Crabtree looks that fast, but he has the size and the hands...

I think Stafford reminds me of Jay Cutler. Swag. Bradford has been a system/gimmick QB, and may have trouble getting under center. I do like his poise, his accuracy when time is given, but not sure of his ability to carry a team and make plays coming from under the center. I hope McCoy stays in school. Stupid to come out. Makes himself a late 1st round or 2nd round pick. You can never make up that money drop again! Tony Dorsett has even tried to tell the kid that. Take out the insurance policy and become a top 10 pick next season. This draft in junior RB loaded. Crabtree is fast, but 4.55 is not elite WR fast in the NFL. Will be interesting to see his NFL adjustment.

I don't see Bradford as a system QB at all. In fact, most of Oklahoma's passing plays come from when Bradford is under center.

OU throws a lot, but for the most part, they run a pretty pro style offense. A lot of play action and checkdowns to the TE and RBs.

Take your word for it. Not a big 12 supporter so much, but talent is talent!:goodpost:

I love all of this with the exception of the OLB and MLP positions. I love Maybin, expescially in a 3-4 defense. Will be a nightmare! Curry may be my most overrated player in college football. Not a fan AT ALL. MLB....Rey Maualuga over Lauranaitis. Rey is a monster. Would love to have him in Houston! Otherwise, right on target to me!

I love Curry. I don't think I've seen him miss a tackle all season.

I'm a little wary about Maualuga. The guy is a headhunter and I love that. But he doesn't really seem to have any responsibilites on USC's defense. He just runs around and hits people.

Thanks for changing the context.

I think we need a guy with a physical presence like his on our defense.

But I don't know if he translates well to the NFL. Just running around and hitting people might look cool...until you miss your gap and the RB breaks a long one.

I like these rankings alot. There are a couple safeties I have in my top 10 that aren't here, and I am partial to Moreno as #1 RB and DHB over Britt. Other than that I agree almost completely with these rankings.

How about adding
top 5 3/4 OLB
top 5 4/3 OLB's
top 5 speed rushing 4/3 DE's
top 5 4/3 DE's
top 5 3/4 DE

Depending on who our new DC is these could be important positions to consider. Also getting a second RB to back up Slaton has to be a priority but do we go with another smallish RB or a big bruising back?

top 5 Power running RB's
top 5 regular backs

Rhett Bomar? How has the chosen ones fall from grace gone over there at Sam?

3355 yards passing with 27 TDs and 13 INTs in 10 games this year.

He has the skills to play in the NFL. Just needs to accept the fact that not every play has to go for 20+. Most of his picks this year came on forcing the ball downfield when he could have thrown it away.

That is my concern with with him and Mays both can deliver a massive hit but how well will that translate moving to the pros.

Not sure why you feel the way you do about Crabtree. TT site has him listed at 6'3" and 215 lbs. I'll wait for the combine to see his 40 time but kid KNOWS what to do with the football when he gets it. Might not have the elite burst some people might want but he can attack downfield. I like how he takes a short pass and can break free in the open field. Uses his blocks real well and has good body control. Anquan Boldin's combine time was 4.71 but is still one of the best in the league.

I do agree on McCoy though. Unless he feels he has nothing more to prove at the college level I don't see why you would want to come out with this running back class.

I think McCoy would be a steal in the second round. He reminds me alot of Slaton.

you know we had his brother, LaRon McCoy, WR trying out for the Texans this past training camp, I really liked his potential but the competition was just to deep to overcome. also mentioned his younger brother at the time, how nice would that be to have brothers playing in the NFL on the same team? I would take a hard, hard look @ him in the 3rd. :)

I cant believe I am about to say this, but I think McCoy will be better than Slaton. Quick feet, powerful, shifty, he has got it. Every game I have watched I was impressed by him. I would trade up into the early second if he was available. I really think he will be the best runningback to come out of this draft.

I agree with you on all counts. The best way to describe him is Slaton plus. He has all Slatons abilities plus some. I wouldnt be upset if we drafted him at 15. I think he has the ability to be the next Clinton Portis running behind a ZB scheme. Shoot if he is available for us with our second round pick I could definatly see us taking him. Denver Picked Portis in the second round not to far off from where were picking.

I think Crabtree will be a slower version of AJ in the NFL. With that being said, he is the best WR in this draft.

He is a dynamic back. Pitt Panther fan from birth. Followed his entire career. Biggest issue is his ball carrying. Carries the ball like a loaf of bread. More like Reggie Bush, but with the toughness to run between the tackles. Should go back to school though. Comes out next year, Top 5 pick & wins the Heismann! No doubt about it.
