The wife and I went out shopping today and decided to stop by several Goodwill stores to buy some stuff and help the needy. We were about to leave the store in Missouri City when a youth Texans cap caught my eye. I almost walked past it as the bill appeared to be covered in dust at first glance. On closer inspection, I realized they were signatures! I bought the cap figuring the donation itself was more important than the $4 donation. When I got home, I researched the autographs and found that it had 2 from OL- Zachary Wiegert and Steve McKinney. I got a little excited when I found it also had TE Mark Bruener on the bill as he did contribute a little.
Feeling well satisfied, I started researching the final name. It looked like the initials were S D, but it didn't match any signature on the roster from the time period those other guys played. It didn't help that the number looked like a "57" written quickly to more resemble "S7". Then I looked at it under magnification and realized "57" was actually "37" and the down stroke on the first initial was a letter completion, not the beginning, as the pressure was much lighter when that stroke was made. Then it all came together! DD! As in RB Dominick Davis! Too bad he had A career ending injury his third season, he was (in my opinion) phenomenal with stats to back that opinion up!
All for 4 bucks! Damn it feels great to help the needy!
