Austin watch party @ 3rd Base

Well I have only missed one at 3rd Base all year, this will be my second. Its my dughters b-day and I cant miss that.
Im sure a few will show, there hasnt been any for the last 5 or so games, usually just myself and Specnatz, and occasional rockabilly and axman sighting but no reall support like the first two games. Heres hoping for a win.
 
i've only missed one road game but this week i'm missing number two. i'll be in conroe. does anyone know of a bar in that area that might have a decent turnout?

i will be there!

since not that many people have been showing up (me included) for reason that are family, honey do list, etc...

someone please get there at least early enough to make sure that

1)- they will have the game ON (i know this seems like a no-brainer, but in week 1 3rd base didn't have our game on tv or on their schedule/map)

2)- maybe if someone can get their early enough they will have it w/ sound

i will try to be that person, i'll try to be there by 11:30 or so, but i live out near weberville, so there may be crapp ass weather/traffic, etc...

I was waiting to make sure of plans but at this point I am going to be there and at my usual time and seat which means I will have a table and will save Ricky a seat since he said 30 min late but I will get the game on the TV.

I've been sick since Thursday, and while I would love nothing more than to wake up Sunday morning feeling 100% and head out to see y'all at 3rd Base, I wouldn't count on it. I will miss ya.
 
So how was it? How many showed?
I am glad I had to watch it taped, it was pretty depressing there in the 3rd and 4th quarters. I just ff so I wouldnt have to take the pain.
 
There were about a dozen or so Texans there, including RickyB, Barrett and his better half, H-TownBalla and DaleMurphy. Not really a lot of people but it is what it is.
 
it was better than it was for the SD game. I felt ok about it. Hell I got up and drove back at the crack of dawn just to be there. I felt like we represented our selves. It wasn't ideal, but I felt ok about it. It seems like word has gotten out to people that 3rd Base has a room where the Texans will be on and if KEYE doesn't show it, people turn out. I sure wish KEYE would just sign a contract with the titans so we can get that place rockin' again!
 
Sounds cool, so this week I suppose it will be dead, because we are playing the Titans and we wont have to worry bout KEYE!
 
I'm communicating with the GM to see about some additional food/drink specials. I'll let you know what she comes back with.

i think it will be nice and rowdy. Dalemurphy has assured me that he will be there and causing havoc! it may just be us but it's going to be fun!

how was your daughters birthday?

It was gr8 considering the weather was bad all weekend, thanks.
Dalemurphy and Ensign Lee are the two biggest bundles of energy I have ever seen, whoa nelly!:d:
 
I'll do my usual email and thread after wed night for all to see, hopefully we will have a crowd.

By the way RickyB, you have no idea how close CC Brown had me to going into my infamous "Matt Stevens chant!"
 
I'm going to do some research for this week's game. I figure there are a couple really good Rush Limbaugh quotes that can be used to heckle the opposition's QB. It's way too politically incorrect for me to avoid!

I was just kidding. Believe me, I'm not that easily offended. Besides, it is Barrett's fat *ss that caused the bar to refurnish the back room... He's the "big" one!
 
today i had two sausage egg and cheeze breakfast tacos that were the size of dalemuphy's head. i am in no way what so ever on a diet!
 
Hey BigWig...Sorry you didn't make it. I thought the turn-out was pretty decent. There was a guy sitting at the table next to me that has season tickets and it was his first time to check it out at Third Base. There was some other Texan fans that arrived late and even a table of Browns fans and a mixed fan table. All in all there was about only 1 or 2 empty tables in the back room. And it looked like there were some fans in other parts of the bar watching it too. Everyone was really cheering and into the game til the wheels fell off. But most folks stayed til the bitter end.
